The first payment I made was not a subscription service. It was meant to be a one time payment. The only documents I have from them are an invoice and a receipt, neither say anything related to a subscription.Something happened, and now they are a subscription service. They charged me, without email or notice the renewal fee for a year. This fee is refundable for up to 48 hours after charging, however even if you don't use the service, you will still be charged.If you try and cancel, they try and shame you via a message on the site, which requires multiple clicks to cancel through multiple menus. When you cancel, you do not get a cancellation confirmation email. This is a big deal because if they charge you again, you have no recourse since your credit card is on file. I tried a chargeback and they required more information than the invoice and the receipt (which is all the documentation I ever got from xtrades) in order for the chargeback to be processed by **************** Xtrades stopped responding to my emails on their official email. They then attempted to contact me via a NEW, non xtrades affiliated email address (@gmail vs @xtrades) after they received word of a chargeback. They also updated their website to say a membership, so they took a screenshot of that and sent it back to my credit card company, only for them to claim it was always a membership and it was clear and obvious.To add to all of this, I got suckered in because of the reviews people left them. Turns out, those reviews are PAID FOR via xtrades with screenshot confirmation.I have no ability to get my money back, no trust my credit card is not in their system, and no ability to confirm my credit card is no longer able to be used by them in the future. My ************ are now to close out my entire credit card account, which impacts my credit score, to prevent anything from this merchant from happening in the future. I'm still out over $400. Such a scam and scummy company.
