      I entered into a contract with ***** on 7/7. I gave her $1250 for the deposit which was 50% of the contract total. The work was verbally quoted to take around 3 weeks, they took 3 months and completed a small percentage of the total work that was specified in our contract. Of the work they completed 1 of the 3 pieces was not stapled, its just the plywood with the foam and upholstery draped over it. In addition, it's missing a cutout for the throttle, meaning the piece is unusable. Furthermore, the two pieces that were completed were not the colors we agreed upon. It's my assumption that they did not use the money I gave them to buy the materials I requested, but used other materials from a previous job.Additionally, 4 pieces were stolen from my boat.Mechanical parts of my boat were disassembled & not put back together.When they glued the carpet in the front they spilled glue and let it dry on the back of my boat as well as leaving the razor blades they used to cut the carpet on my boat which resulted in rust stains on my boat. ***** works with her brother and mother, in my opinion, to purposely deceive and defraud their customers. I came to this conclusion by trying to ****** her mom and brother to figure out if they had a business license. I stumbled upon this yelp page (************************************************************************************) and found 14 more reviews where people said they were scammed and their deposit was stolen. *****'s business has a different name that is not connected to theirs. However, quickly after signing the contract with her she said she would take all my pieces to her mom and brothers shop to be upholstered. Had I known that the company she was taking my pieces to was Rodriguez Upholstery I would have never entered into a contract with her. I believe they are having a hard time getting new business due to everyone posting that it's a scam, so they created a new business to continue to be able to scam their customers.

      On March 17, 2023 Rodriguez upholstery came to my home to remove the interior of my boat. With exception of the passenger seat, driver throttle panel, and padding above the gauges which was to be re-upholstered on-site during installation. INVOICE #***** On March 17, 2023 I paid a down payment of $2900.00 which was half of the total amount of $5800, which is more than the legal 10% down law. Rodriguez Upholstery was committed to do a complete custom restoration of my boat. including canopy, carpet and wash/detail.The dispute is Rodriguez upholstery has rescheduled to complete the job on 11 occasions. starting with (1) 3- 25-2023, ************* , (3) 4-5-2023, (4) 4-6-2023 showed up just to drop of some of the seat cushions, no installation was completed. Re-scheduled for (5) 4-7-2023 no show, (6) 4-8-2023, *************, ************* again did not show up. Re-scheduled for ************* sent a text at 11:33 am confirming appointment. Rodriguez upholstery finally arrived at my home at **** hours with partial upholstery work. They did not have the captains chair and two of the back rest panels. But was demanding $1500 more, with final payment due tomorrow, but was not going to install any of the panels due to the late hour (being 7pm) stated they will be back tomorrow. When I questioned why the payment ***** (a representative of ******** upholstery), drove off and refused to return to drop off my boat panels. Given the numerous re-scheduling nine as of this time I was very hesitant to give them any more money. Again Rodriguez upholstery re-scheduled for ************** again did not show up. Re-scheduled for (11) ****- 2023 again did not show. Rodriguez upholstery is demanding payment of $2175 and is refusing to return my property until they get payment. Complete restoration was never completed by Rodriguez upholstery, but wants payment. 4-20-2023 **** hrs waiting for ***** to bring remaining upholstery. May have to pay $2175 & transport fee of $250 to get items.

      This company quoted me on a service and item for purchase, asked for a deposit (which I paid) and has disappeared, will not answer my calls or email. I have asked for a refund and they ignore me.

      *************** (one of the owner of Rodriguez Upholstery) was supposed to re-upholster the bench seat of my small Cessna airplane. When he picked up the seat at El Monte airport on Sunday, he told me that it will be ready to reinstall by Thursday. Thursday came and went and no contact with the shop. I started calling him on Friday and the whole weekend asking about the seat since I have someone inspecting the plane on Monday. He never got back to me that weekend. He finally texted me on Monday that I can pick up the seat at their Huntington Park shop. When I went to pick it up, no work has been done on my bench seat. He contracted the job for $400 and I gave him $180 deposit. He has not returned my deposit. We poor service and communication skill. I want my deposit back.
