After repairing an evap leak on my vehicle caused by another smog shop. after I had tested the vehicle and found no leak. I took my truck on 9/18/2023 to Valley Smog & Repairs *****************************. ***** for a smog test. They ran the test and said I failed the test due to an evaporative leak. I paid ***** for the test and they said if I want them to do a diagnostic bring it back. I immediately drove the truck home hooked up my smoke machine ran the smoke test and confirmed I had a leak,so I got under the truck while running the smoke test and saw the leak was coming from the hose I had just replaced it. I took a picture of it. that shows the hose was pulled loose from the hose clamp from the fuel tank ****** causing the leak. My option is the push and pull the hose until the hose came loose. I reported it to a Representative *********************** from ****** of ********** Repair who came by to get evidence and Pictures for the first smog shop so he Also got under the truck and took pictures for his records and I Filed a complaint report to BAR that Night. The next day **** and I repaired the damage the shop did and I tested it for leaks and had no leaks, two days later took it to another smog shop and it passed the smog test..Business response

Customer *********************************** came to our shop to have a smog test performed on his **** Chevrolet Pickup on September 18, 2023. Upon receiving approval from *******, the shop proceeded to perform the smog inspection. After completing the smog inspection the test results showed that the vehicle had failed due to an EVAP leak. The test results were explained to the customer and a diagnosis was offered at the time. The customer declined to diagnostic and the smog inspection fee was charged. Customer left and did not return.
A few days later a *** representative came to the shop to investigate the complaint in which the customer was accusing the shop of causing the leak. I assured the *** representative that the shop was not responsible for causing the leak and that we would obtain the video footage from the shop cameras. We did obtain the video footage and have evidence that the shop did not cause the damage that ******* is accusing the shop of. After the *** representative completed his investigation, the *** representative stated that if we did not hear back from *** to consider the case closed. We have not heard back from *** and consider this case closed.
The shop denies any wrong doing and denies the requested settlement by ************************************

On April 6th I had a diagnostic on my ac done and I was told it was the ac compressor and it was going to be 1,320 all together. So I said fix it because I drive for work and I have a 1 year old and it's to hot for him so he fixed and let me no the warranty information. Then exactly in 30 days it went out again so I took it back once he said the other compressor came in. On Monday the 23rd I took my car in at 9 am and he had it until 6 witch was pass closing and told me it works now but it wasn't the compressor it was something else that needs to be fixed but he put the new compressor on anyway. So he told me he will give me a call with the price of what needs to be done I said ok. But if something else was wrong it should of came out on the diagnostic. So the next day witch was the 24th. I was driving and the air was not working again and I gave him until Noon to see if he was going to call me back to let me no the price on what else need to be fixed and he didn't so I call him and told him my ac was not working so he told me again he will give me a call with the price on what need to be fix and still hasn't. So at this point I don't want to spend no more money with him because he must not no how to fix it and he still haven't call and I drive for work and can't even work for long because once it get hot it's to hot for me to drive I start getting a headache and it's to hot in the car for my 1 year old son and I spend 1,320 I should not have no problems so at this point I want My money back and can go somewhere else I don't trust his work or word now. The address you guys have in the search has the wrong address and number but it's the right place they just moved locations but the new information is on the receipt I provided. Please be advised that the customer was contacted and has been notified of the additional repair that is needed for her vehicle. Customer stated that she would call the shop back after she discusses the matter with her father.
