I am very angry and frustrated with the bad service and installation I got last week from Temp Air Systems. They replaced my metal ducts in the attic, with cheap plastic ducts, without my knowledge. It was never discussed or written that Felipe, the owner, would remove all my metal ducts in the attic, to replace with plastic. The removal also included the new ducts, done two months ago by my contractor, after the remodel of two bathrooms and master bedroom. The day of Temp Air's service, I saw all my metal ducts stacked in the backyard and then taken by the workers to dispose. I never questioned the workers, as I thought they were just replacing the same thing. I was not able to look at their work after they finished, as I cannot climb a ladder to get to the attic. (I'm a disabled senior). When they were done, they gave me a paper and they wrote, "replaced 9 new ducts," etc. without mentioning plastic ducts. I do not have a signed contract with this business, as the owner made sure I was paying cash. The only paperwork is what the workers gave me. A few days later my AC guys installed my new unit for central air and told me that very cheap plastic ducts had been installed and the metal ones were gone. They asked why I got rid of the metal ducts as there was no problem with them. They only needed re-wrapping from rats and squirrels chewing from years past. (I have fixed the openings) The AC guys inspected the ducts in March, when they installed my new furnace. They told me my area, near the foothills, is a problem for critters that get into attics and chew, especially plastic ducting. I called Felipe, at Temp Air, and asked him to remove the plastic ducts, but refused and said they do not install metal ducts and would not repair the problem. I have text messages on my phone proving his unwillingness to help solve the problem. Instead, since I have stopped his payment until he makes this right, I'm now getting threatening phone calls to put a lien on home

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/08) */ Contact Name and Title: ************** - Admin Contact Phone: ************ Contact Email: ************************** Mrs, ********, We are very sorry you feel this way. It is not a common practice to install metal ducts in family homes since the 1980's. What is used for homes are flex ducts which are less likely to leak and rust then metal ducting. The cost difference between metal and flex is almost 3 times higher (metal ducting is more expensive). The type of ducting to be installed was noted in a contract given to you at the time of the estimate. A copy of the estimate is attached. On your claim you are stating you had all metal ducts however there were flex ducting as well (see pictures) We don't believe we missed led you, we are truly sorry if you think we did. We charged you $**** to replace 9 ducts, added two new supplies and changed your registers. We have not received payment for the work performed since a stop payment was done on or before June 15th. Job was completed on June 14th, 2022. All material used by the company are by city code. We have attached the specs of the ducting used in your home. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do regarding any rats or squirrel problems you may have at your home

I bought a Rheem heat pump from Temp Air System in November 2019 for $****. I was told that if I paid the $**** by Nov 2021 there would be no interest. They financed this through Synchrony Bank. Synchrony Bank never once sent me a bill or statement so I kept track of the payments and finished paying off the $**** by April 2021. I then started getting emails from Synchrony saying that I still owed them $258 (it is now $295). I called Synchrony 3 times though the people I spoke with there were hard to communicate with. Each time they agreed that they didn't have my correct address so they never sent a bill, they agreed that how was I supposed to know when the bill was due and what was the minimum payment. But they are still harassing me every day. Temp Air says they don't have anything to do with this but it is them that created this nightmare. I don't know whether they or Rheem have been paid the $****

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/16) */ Dear Mr. ********, We truly apologize for what you are going through. Unfortunately there is nothing Temp Air can do as far as knowing what is owed on your loan. Yes you purchased the equipment from Temp Air, you applied for a home improvement loan with Synchrony Bank, the plan chosen was no monthly interest if paid in full for 24 months (Deferred interest)26.99% APR. Once your installation is complete Synchrony Bank pays us and the consumer (you) pays Synchrony. Temp Air has no access to your payment history or any information of your account activity (think of it as a credit card). If you like, we can call together on 3 way and try to figure out why your payments don't match. Remember you have 24 months to pay the full $**** if you don't pay it in full within the 24 months they will charge you an interest rate of 26.99 on the original amount. We are here to help - I did leave you a voice message feel free to call me back at your earliest convenience Lis
