I am writing this letter to make a formal complaint regarding Contractor License# 1034113, about the unsatisfactory work done while renovating my patio. It has been a very disappointing experience for me. I am discussing and highlighting the problems below. I will appreciate it if you would go through the points listed. • Prior to the installation, you graded the dirt, leaving a significant angle. I asked several times if you would modify the grade level to match the level of the pre-existing patio. He did not comply with my request, therefore neglecting your duty and obligation as a Licensed contractor to confirm the necessary measurements and angles. Apart from the low-quality effort he and his business displayed, the installation job was done quite poorly. • The extended patio you installed contains several uneven levels, which do not align with the pre-existing patio. A portion of the newly installed patio sits at a significant angle which forces water and rainfall to accumulate towards the house and does not drain properly. The angle of the concrete does not properly support furniture or allow food and beverages to lie still on a table. It is not safe for use as a seating/dining area or family gathering. The uneven slopes of concrete pose a safety hazard for my children as well due to the uneven surfaces you have installed. • He installed drains which direct water towards the house; drains should direct water away from the house. The drains create a pool of water, with no way to remove it. • The angle of the concrete creates a walking elevation which forces my household to view into other neighboring yards without necessity. This creates a violation of privacy to other neighbors and me. Please view attached photos as reference. • He has refused to respond to my messages/calls. I demand that he fix all the above-mentioned problems. me directly to provide me with a complete refund of $3800 or start work to fix the poor workmanship or I will pursue legal
