              I urgently needed some software to program some of our radios for a SAR mission deployment. Due to a policy change by Icom, Quality two-way radios is no longer allowed to sell directly through their website, which I understand and respect. I called their sales number during their posted business hours, and was connected with a sales associate. When I explained my need and urgency, Instead of offering to get me setup to make a sale over the phone, I was directed to a web form to fill out, and when asked how long it would take to get a reply, I was told "about a day". For such an urgent need to get this software, this deflection to a web form and lack of customer service was very disappointing. I submitted an email through their web form and received a reply that blamed the whole situation on Icom and did not address the quality of the customer service I received in my attempt to purchase the software over the phone.

              We are truly sorry that we can no longer offer the Icom software on our website, which makes purchases and availability of software instantaneous. This is due to a policy change by Icom that prohibits any sale of Icom software over the internet. Icom gave us no warning to adjust to this new mandate. We are working to find an alternative to provide a solution to our customers.
