*********************, owner of concept 2 reality has been the worst contractor that I've worked with my entire life. He tells you upfront that he doesn't nickel and dime you, and that he will do the project in three months. 11 months later, we finally had to find another contractor to finish the work that he was paid for but did not complete. We did a bathroom and kitchen remodel with him costing approximately $75,000 and he immediately started asking for additional money. First when the glass door was put in he required me to pay an additional $2000 because he stated that he wasn't aware how much the glass door would cost. As a contractor he's making his client responsible because he was unaware of how much a door costs. This happened on by the one occasion with other items. He would basically abandon the job for weeks at a time, and then when I would contact him threatening to hire another contractor to finish the work, because he abandoned, he would show up for a few days and work, and then disappear again. He would use terms like "you can trust me" or "you have my word". I found out that those words don't really mean much of anything to him, because he still wouldn't follow through. He's very good at finding other people to blame for the situation, like his unwillingness to work with the designers that we hired and blaming them for not adequately measuring for the cabinets that he was being paid to install. Basically, if you want to be frustrated, disappointment, and have your project go on for months longer than it was scheduled, then ********************* is your man. However, in my opinion, I would avoid him at all costs, even though he does have a very nice smile, and is very friendly when you first meet him.
