Today I received a call from National Student Loan Advisory, claiming to be processing my application for the ************** Loan Forgiveness Program. They clearly attempted to seem as if they were following up on my application that had legitimately been submitted to the ********** of ********* They attempted to collect a wide range of personal information, including ID#, social security, and credit card. Because they were able to look up a credit report and provide some basic information about my loan status, it made the entire call seem as if it was legitimate. I'm not sure if this business is attempting to commit full identity theft or just trick people into paying a fake "processing fee" associated with the ************** Loan Forgiveness program, but I came very close to being fraudently charged and unfortunately they did collect a lot of personal information. Before completing a transaction, I requested they cancel the fraudelent "application" and demanded all of my personal information be deleted, but I have no way of knowing if they did so. I have taken as many steps as possible to protect myself now, including freezing my credit card account, replacing my drivers license and locking all of my credit through Experian, Equifax, etc, but I have serious concerns. This "business" needs to be investigated and shut down.Initial Complaint

I was Contacted By *********************** on June 30, 2021 stating he worked for the Student Loan Advisory and could pull my student loans out of default and into a forgiveness program due to my permanent disability. I have made 4 $190 payments and scheduled to make 20 payments for 120 months and my loans will be forgiven. I logged into the Student Aid portal and there is no record of any payment being made against my student loans. I am permanently disabled with 5 kids. I cannot afford to lose any money. I cannot reach anyone at the Student Loan Advisory by phone or email. I need my money back. I believe this company to be scamInitial Complaint

Robocall from number ************ indicated Student Loan Advisory with a scam regarding student loan repayment and forgiveness.
