I saw a collection on my credit report from something opened in 2023 i never opened a new account. Tried to resolve w transunion and nothing was changed. I want it off my credit report it is fraud.Initial Complaint

I have a Milestone credit card(xxx8-xxx0-xxx4-7464) that was serviced by ********** **** Services. I did fall behind due to having to pay for funeral cost out of pocket.On 7/19/22 I called to advise them of this and asked what could I pay so that my account would not charge off. I was told $58.00, I paid that amount that day and advised I will be calling back on 8/12/22 to paid the card off. I asked would the card remain open and I was advised yes. This call was recorded. On 8/3/2022 I called ******* to make an additional payment since I had some extra and the automated system told me my card was charged off and directed me to a collection agency. 3 days after I made the payment and was told the card would not charge off ******* charged the card off. Since I was told this card would not be charged off I want the report of Charge off to be removed from my credit. I have made the arrangements to pay the card off already.
