On 11/19/2023 I took my cat who was vomiting continuously to ****** care veterinary as it was the only placed open on a Sunday. They took the pet inside and let us wait in a separate room for about 3 hours. After that the doctor came in and explained that it needs an **ray and blood work for $1000. They didnt allow us to be with the pet during exam not sure why. I agreed to do one thing which is the **ray to see if it swallowed a forgein body. They asked me to pay upfront before performing any service. I had to pay $97.50 for exam which I doubt they did! And paid $ ****** for **ray and additional $238.98 for Radiologist fee! They asked us to leave until they finish the **ray . We came in at 7:30 am we left at 10:30 am, we waited until 3 pm with no update. I went back to them to check and take my cat. They kept me for another hour when the doctor came in and said everything is ok no issues found in the **ray just some gases and inflammation but he still recommends the labs which will cost additional $500 which I refused. He prescribed some medication that costs $100 and they said I have to buy from them because no other pharmacy carries them, I asked them if I can use the pharmacy discount coupon but they said they dont accept it there, I asked them to switch to other generic that I can get from any other pharmacy but they refused. Finally I was able to get a hard copy of the prescription so I can refill from other pharmacy which I did! I asked them to send me the **ray images but they didnt I called their office again to request them, they asked me about the reason why I need them and they said hey will send them to me but they didnt. The thing is that they didnt do any **rays or even an exam! I dont have any proof that they performed an x ray on my cat and they didnt allow me to be with my cat during the exam, which means they never examined it. My cat is fine now without taking the medication.I request your investigation and my money back as they are a big SCAM.

On 7/24/2022 I took my dog to Brightcare because my vet was closed. I took my dog there because she was showing signs of lethargy, had diarrhea and no appetite. I physically carried here into the vet. (She's a very high energy Malinois/******* mix) They used scare tactics and played off my emotions to run every test and x-ray known to man. The bill ended up costing me $5,776. I was fed up and took her home and to my vet the next day. My vet said all she had was an abscessed on her stomach and sent me home the next day with a bill of $55.00. I turned them into the ******** Veterinary Board last year. My investigation is STILL pending. I just looked at their Yelp review and people are outraged by this business. It's baffling that they are still open!

Our recent visit to Brightcare Veterinary ER with our cat was marred by significant issues, delaying my cat's treatment by over 2 hrs.Although the vet arrived for the examination within 10 minutes, we waited for ************************************************** with a list of tests and labs, 20 of them! She read speedily through the list of terms and acronyms until I asked for explanation. The estimate cost ranged from $3000-$5600. We were shocked at the total because we had requested, with the agreement of the vet, a logical sequence of tests to avoid unnecessary trauma to our cat. This battery of tests required a deposit of over $900 to begin. This was now clearly about the money and not the pet emergency. I called my sister who is a vet to guide us through the labs (she was appalled at the unnecessary tests suggested and their inflated prices). The assistant left to rework the quote. We now had been there 2 hours. They finally recommended that our cat stay overnight for further testing, which cost an additional $1772. Feeling desperate we accepted these terms. The following morning, after having paid over $2600, the vet recommended an additional $2000 worth of invasive testing, including a biopsy. When we asked for more information and expressed concerns, the veterinarian became defensive and dismissive of our questions. He asked that we pick up our cat immediately and hung up on me. We rushed to pick up our cat. The facility manager came to talk to us and blamed us for not "trusting" their judgement and did not apologize for the doctor's ********* We searched for a vet to transfer our cat for continued care (****************************). They took her immediately and administered fluids and medication to my cat within 30 minutes and sent her home to recover. She is doing fine.I would never recommend Brightcare to anyone. Their practices are unethical and exploitative. It is very evident that they emphasize cost over care for animals.

09/01/2021-Paid Amount: $5765.48 09/03/2021-Paid Amount: $4900.00 09/03/2021-Paid Amount: $3431.70 TOTAL PAID: $14,097.18 I have a record of break down receipts to show how each of the total cost added up for each change amount above. In short, I have strong beliefs that Brightcare Veterinary Group has taken financial advantage over my emotional loss of my companion, Mac. On top of the paid total amount, I also paid extra money to stay out of town and travel three hours away from my home. Throughout the time we were in Mission ******************** explained that Mac'c condition was unchanged from the way he was given to them on the night of August 31st/September 1st and he should get "worse before better". I also was never once contacted by **************, who was the Neurologist recommended to us by the ** vet that was on call at my local 24 hour vet hospital, which is excessive. After reading through my break down receipt, I do not understand some areas that we've been charge misc.
