    This took place on 12-20-2021.The hot water pipe in our home cracked. My Daughter called Mark's Sewer & Drain Services, he came out to view the issue, he took pictures that he didn't show us, and then he left, came back and brought someone with him. Initially he said he needed $6,000.00 to get the parts (copper piping for the entire house). So we gave him three separate checks in $2,000.00 because he said he couldn't have one big check for his bank. Then he came back with all the material, laid everything under the house, we told him we had insurance but the insurance would only pay for the assessment, any cutting of the cement and some other items. He then proceeded to tell us he was going to over charge the insurance company and raise prices, we told him that was not going to work and we decided to just fix the only pipe that needed to be fixed because he wanted to charge a total of $27,990. So we told him no, just fix the one pipe. He then charged us another $3,000.00 which totals $9,000.00 and took our material that we paid for from the beginning. I got my daughter and grand daughter involved because he was extremely rude and he would refuse to talk to my grand daughter o the phone. If I am paying this business all of this money he should have the decency to be able to explain to them why it costs so much money. He also didn't give us a invoice or a detailed receipt until 3 days after we gave him the first $6,000.00. I am 93 years old and I feel like I have been taken. If this matter does not get resolved I am taking him to small claims. I was hoping you could help me out.
