Sept 26th 2021 I attended an annual fall festival charitable event which I bid on and won two 3 month memberships to a gym and nutrition program called ROOTED MOVEMENTS in ******* ** which I had donated $500 to my sons school/church St. Stanislaus. I had difficulty getting a hold of anyone at this business and finally met with a co-owner named ******************* who showed me the around and took my ID and debt card stating it was for identification purposes only. I had told him to please not keep it on file or charge it which he agreed. At this time I had no idea what the monthly fee would be if I later (I had until Feb 9th to decide) what the fees would even be. I began 'training' and Ric immediately noticed that I had memory issues because I could not recall simple stretches and I had to explain that I had a mental health condition called schitzoaffective and had suffered immensely from short term memory loss. I remember telling him that my father had passed away which my inheritance was paying my expenses while I waited for my social security disability approval. I had answered questions stating I was going through a divorce and struggling hoping I can even remember to continue going to the gym or finding it. That day without my permission or approval Ric began charging my debit card $280 per month. Although I filed a claim at my bank and was able to retrieve the first $280 I had to close this account due to his continued attempt to withdraw funds from my debit card. He claims it is error as he removed my card yet again this month I received another attempt from Rooted movement to update my credit card for processing. I have reached out to Ric and he acknowledges it was an error that's been corrected however it was only corrected because I closed my account. I do plan to also file a complaint with the American's with dyabilities act and attempt to receive a refund on my donation of $500.

Hello, I never received any type of contract. I did sign something on the **** but didn't receive a copy. I was told it was for liability and it was just my contact information. I never joined because I had the 3 month certificate and I had no clue what the monthly fee would be once the certificate expired in Feb. I was told by ******************* that we would review gym fees after my free 3 months were over before I was charged anything.
