I live in community where I lease the land which goes up about $12 to $15 a year. I also have to pay per the park a pass-through charge called property tax and it depends on the park owner or office on what to charge it used to be $50 now is almost $300 and continue going up. I called the Osceola County Tax Collector and explain the situtation of outrages property tax charge despite that we don't own the land we lease on a monthly basis and no there is no contract and it there was nothing like this was explain or else I wouldn't have move there they lack important information and on top of that they bring whatever price they want and we are force to pay it or we threaten of what is going to happen if we don't pay and this community have a lot of elderly people who breaks my heart because they don't work they depend on their Social Security and have no other place to go they consider this place a home and a place to die. Trying to reach the park owner John is like pulling a tooth. I heard that they don't have to charge and basically we pay and don't know why we are paying an extra fee called lot rent that also goes up without any notification of the why it went up and the park looks awful many cracks on the road no lighting most of the time they also allowed younger people to live here even though is a 55+ the elderly are scare I believe most of them die because of the stress of where they would come up with the money to eat or at least enjoy their Christmas. I have heard so many sad stories of the elderly been kicked out of their homes because they didn't pay on time sad very sad. Please do something if not for me for the elderly. Thank you. P.S. I can only choose explanation of charges wish they had one for stop of pass thru charges on land we don't own and we pay for.
