I was a client of Gershfeld for over 2 years. In January of this year 2024 I requested a payoff amount numerous times, I finally got an official payoff amount, which I paid. Settling all my accounts that I owed, according to their records not mine. Ive waited two months for a refund of $118.13, they say its due to the accounting department hasnt closed my account. Now theyre saying that one account is saying that Gershfeld missed a final payment of $400.00 something, I dont know and I dont care. Im out of this. I paid what THEY told me to pay and my slate is clean, thats according to Gershfeld. One of their worthless managers told me that they will take responsibility for the account, but they will use the $118.13 to help pay for it, thats not their money its mine. There is a credit for that amount on the portal Gershfeld uses. Their service *****, always blowing smoke.Business response

Thank you for bringing Mr. ****** complaint. I have taken the time to review Mr. ****** file and complaint. My General Manager also took the time to speak with Mr. ****** to review our findings. Mr. ****** is correct when he said my office informed him that a refund was due to him. The reason that refund was not issued was after the previously mentioned call with our office and before a refund could be issued Mr. ****** most recent deposit into his Special Purpose Account was returned unpaid by his bank. THe return of that deposit changed the ledger of Mr. ****** file to him having a balance owing to Gershfeld Law Group instead of receiving the refund mentioned previously. This has been communicated to Mr. ****** and he has agreed to send in a check to cover the balance owing on his account. I would like to thank the BBB for all of their hard work protecting consumers.
