IN July of last year I used Bark to find a CPA to help me resolve a Federal Tax Issue. I met ******************* and the Tax Resource Group over the internet. *********** is very convincing. He called the *** for me - he allegedly filled out a missing 2017 Tax return for me that had no numbers on it. I sold and bought a home that year. So it made no sense. I hired I'm and The tax Resource group to work on my ********************************* from September until this week February 2024. When he did another phony tax return for 2017. I have copies of the contract. **** of his lying.

I paid them around $**** to do my taxes and resolve the issues with the *** that went back 6 years. I was bounced around to multiple representatives who never did what was needed to be done. By the time it was over, I should have just went to the *** myself for free and set up a payment plan. This company filed my taxes and set up a payment plan on 1 year of taxes saying all I had to pay was $26. I made the payments for 2 months before the *** rejected the agreement and came after me again. Tax Resource Group then ghosted me and left me hanging out to dry. When I finally got in touch with them again, they said I had to call the *** because it was not their problem. I had to make a new payment plan that I can barely afford now. I paid this company to do the once in a lifetime forgiveness through the *** and they did not do the job. They did not even try. I was conned by this company and now I have paid them to do a job they never did and I feel they never intended to do! I paid them $**** to do the taxes and file them. I paid them $*** to do a desired resolution of a once in a lifetime tax forgiveness from the ***. I want this money sent to me in a check because they did not do the job. I feel like if you did not do the job, you should not keep the money. I want a refund of the $*** I paid them to resolve this issue in which they did not do.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/06/06) */ We Provided all the services we were contracted to complete. Mr. ******* is unhappy with his results, because he called the Taxing Authority himself and ruined what we had already setup. Now he is paying them more which is at his own doing. We setup a payment plan for 26.00 for him, as well as resolved a state issue, and filed four years of delinquent tax returns. We charged him total of $******* (well below the normal rate) to complete all the work. I have attached a history of work that is logged in our CRM, phone calls, emails, text messages, as well as uploaded completed documents. Please see Page 1 Section A Schedule of Services sub section f. which identifies specifically the services and types of resolution we have completed for this client. We were not hired to solely complete a offer and compromise. Resolution is dictated by the *** and is based on the individual tax payers qualification. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/06/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This company did not do their job and only set up for me to pay taxes on a single tax year. They were hired to nullify or use my once in a lifetime forgiveness from the ***. After they set it up, I did my part and paid the monthly dues. Then the *** started sending me these letters saying that I was not paying on these tax years. I AM DISSATISFIED because this company did not do the job they were hired to do. I sent them the proof and talked to David Rios or ********** and they said they would call me back. I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM FOR OVER A WEEK! They are lying and need to do the job they were hired for. Here are the letters I was starting to receive. This company is a bunch of crooks and they refuse to do the job they were hired for. I would like the *** to investigate this deeper because they will find I am probably not the only one they did this way. Here are the files to prove I did what they told me and I was still not able to resolve the issue. I attached the tax letters I received from the ***. I also attached proof I paid the payments as I was supposed to. This Tax company did not do the job they were supposed to do and I had to call the *** myself before they really began coming after me. This company can not put blame on me when they did not do the job they were supposed to do and here is proof I was doing what I needed to do before I received the letters. When I received the letters, I called ********** at ************** and he never called back. 2 weeks later, I called the tax company at ************. They never called me back. ********** text me and he did not do the job he was supposed to do. I am sending those texts now to prove that he knew about this. They are attached as screenshots from my phone. Let see him explain this. I want this tax company to contact the *** and initiate the tax forgiveness program and erase the entire debt or refund my $****. This is what I want! Since they want to lie, they should pay me back in full since they refuse to do the job they were hired to do. Whomever wrote this is now lying to the ***. Please see the screenshots of the texts! Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/06/20) */ Unfortunately, we have come to an impasse. Our position is that services have been rendered under the contract service agreement as agreed. There will be no refund provided.

In April and March 2021 I submitted two payments of $*** to tax resource group LLC. Initially I was contacted via phone by a Mr. ************* informing me about their business and what they have to offer. Seeing that it was my very first time filing taxes as 1099 independent contractor I was very uneasy about doing my first filing alone so I figured employing a professional would be beneficial and worth the $***. Later I was put in touch with a man named ****. **** and I had several back-and-forth conversations over the period of approximately 4 to 6 weeks. During this time there was limited request for information or documentation from me at times I felt as though I wasn't even being represented or that I wasn't even being retained as a client. Finally I was contacted by Mr. *********. Mr. ********* and I had one very long conversation one afternoon about my entire financial situation. After this conversation I heard not a single utterance from tax resource group. No phone call no letters in the mail no notice from the *** finally has the extension date deadline approached I began to get nervous and started looking into ****** tax preparation and even *********. In the end I wound up filing my taxes by myself independently. I'm not even really sure if I filed them correctly or not. After which I received a letter from the *** informing me that I owed back in taxes. During this time I again was not contacted by Tax Recource Group at all and at this point I figured that I was no longer being retained as a client. I don't know what I paid $*** for but it seems to me like I paid $*** for one really long conversation with Mr. ********* and several short conversations with a guy named ****.

Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2022/04/13) */ Mr. ******* failed to communicate, did not respond to our emails, and his telephone number that we have on file for remains disconnected. The service agreement says that we will terminate working on the file without provision of refund if the client refuses to communicate or is found to be a tax protester according to the *** definition. We fulfilled our obligation according to our contractual agreement, Mr. ******* did not hold up his end of the agreement. Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2022/04/21) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept The firm's response. Based off of a thread of emails that I have dating back to March 24, 2021 I was in contact with a man named ****** who said that he would get back to me as soon as the *** compliance was finished this was on March 18, 2021. I followed up with a response stating how I was concerned because things were being done with limited information. This was the last correspondence that I've ever had with the firm and as stated in their email they never reached out to me. My phone number has since changed due to the necessity of downsizing my small business. I can be reached at ************.
