I signed a contract to have my son attend Teddy Bear Preschool two days a week from ****** - ****** and with that had to pay a **** registration fee. Two days prior to his start date, the director emailed me and changed the start time to ******* I explained that does not work with my schedule and will not be enrolling my son and I requested a refund of the ***** After more than 10 attempts to get in touch with the owner, I have been ignored with no response back from the owner at all.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/03/29) */ Customer was informed of shortened school hours during tour. Several weeks later the customer decided not to attend school on the date they were scheduled to begin. Customer asked if they could do a half day option, we reminded the customer we do not offer half days. Customer requested refund on non-refundable $100.00 registration fee, the morning of the first day of school. Customer was explained thoroughly about the non-refundable registration fee and where those funds go to. As soon as we receive the registration fee of $100.00 we begin making personalized cubby name tags, printing family photos, creating documents specific to the individual child. Customer was also shown a copy of the non-refundable registration fee agreement they signed. Customer was extremely displeased and continued to call the school and yell after being told multiple times that we would not be able to refund. Customer submitted this claim to our Community Care Licensing Agent. Case was reviewed and and agent came out to campus two time before determining the complaint was "unfounded". The agent stated "LPA interviewed staff, as well as other parties involved, and obtained copies or pertinent information. Throughout the investigation process, it was found the allegation is UNFONUDED. The facility is in fact abiding by the admission agreement. A finding of unfounded means the allegation is false, could not have happened, or is without reasonable basis". These documents have been attached to the file for you to review.
