Paid $120 for braided hairstyle ($100 for service and $20 tip), receipt request for the service was refused by the owner of the shop Nonnie Okonkwo at the time of service. The hairstyle is unsatisfactory- the braids were inconsistent, many unraveled overnight and multiple need to be redone. The following day a in person complaint was communicated to owner for the service to be redone or refunded. The owner responded in anger, refused to address the issue and denied that the service needed to be redone.Business response

This complainant came back to my shop after her hair was braided and started yelling at me from the parking lot. she came to my shop door and continued shouting at me telling everyone around that I was a scam. I asked how what the problem was and she shouted at me that the braid one of my braider did on her came undone. I told her that the hair braider was not in the shop at the time and that I would call the braider to come in and fix her hair. She continued yelling and a homeless man that was hanging around my shop came and both of them continued to yell at me.I was able to get hold of the braider and set appointment for the complainant to come back and redo her braids with no charge.Few days later, the complainant came back and redid her hair.Business response

The complainant came back to the shop to complain that her we braided was unraveling. she stood in front of my shop shouting and screaming telling everyone and shops around me that I was a scammer. A homeless man that was hanging around the shopping center joined her in causing commotion in front of my shop and came into my shop with the homeless man. I informed the complainant that I will call the braider to come in and fix her hair. I called the braider but she did not respond because she was at church. When the braider got out of church, she called me and I had her come to the shop and redid the complainant her. The complainant even gave the braider a thumbs up when she left my shop. The complainant was satisfied the second time and that was why she gave the braider a thumbs up. She is now attempting to get a free hair service. She will not get her money back because she came back to the shop and we fixed what she complained about.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: a refund was requested on multiple occasions due to the hairstyle being unprofessional and unsatisfactory. The braider was unable to meet professional standards following multiple attempts as a result money was invested to redo the hairstyle. I will continue to advocate for a return as I feel that this shop has a reputation for producing poor quality hairstyles and not meeting the expectations of multiple customers as referenced by consistent negative yelp reviews.
