This dealership puts the sleazy back into the used car salesmen. Their newmanager ***** and his underwhelming salesman ***** basically lied to us, did not honor our verbal or hand shook agreement after spending over an hour negotiating over a car we were interested in . We had been in communication daily over the following several days with ***** as he was well aware of our desire to purchase this car. On May 16th ( Thursday) approximately 4:00pm we confirmed with ***** via phone that we wanted to purchase the car, we had a cashiers check in hand and since the dealership was an hour away we agreed to be at the Morgan Hill dealership before 11:00 am on Friday May 17, 2024. ***** nor ***** who gave his hand shaken word, let us know that someone else was seriously interested in the car. As planned, we arrived at the dealership at 10:45 AM we got out of the car and was told by ***** that the car has been SOLD that prior evening at 9 PM. He stated he was off work on that Thursday (even though he called us at least three times that day to work out the details of the purchase.) We were completely stunned and in shock because they told us it had been sold. We were not informed that the prior evening that the car we made a deal on, was gonna be sold to someone else and not even given notice. ***** let us drive an hour to the dealership with not even a courtesy call to say they scammed us. When the real sleaze bucket, ***** came to talk to us about the car, he claimed it happened at 10 PM Thursday night . When ***** was confronted for an explanation, he stated he called in sick that day. Really , ***** ? Do you think the consumer is that stupid? That someone else negotiated and sold an already committed car in pitch black darkness? . Do you not communicate with your team on what cars are in negotiations or already committed to? A verbal agreement means nothing? Shame on this deceptive, sneaky dealership.. their over-the-top fabricated story doesnt fly.
