I hired **** from BAOCS to clean the tile roof on my house after getting quotes from a few different companies. ****'s price was the lowest, but not by a huge margin. He was able to send someone on short notice, which worked well for me because I was trying to get things cleaned up before a solar installation. **** was friendly on the phone, and I was happy to give a small local business a shot.***** came to do the cleaning. The cleaning process consisted of quickly blowing off debris, and then spraying ************* No ropes or notable safety precautions were employed. ************ is a consumer-grade product. I was curious about how well the no-touch product would work to remove lichen and **** on my roof. ***** assured me that it would work, and to contact them if it didn't look strongly improved in 1.5 months.While ***** was on my roof he broke a whole bunch of concrete tiles, at least ****. I was on the roof beforehand, and all damage was new. ***** would not actually admit that he broke any of the tiles, did mention that he "noticed a few broken tiles". Super shady, but I was already assuming that some tile repairs would be needed after my solar install, so I didn't make a big deal out of it.I contact **** after 1.5 months, since there has been very little improvement. He told me that the product might take up to three months.After more than three months have passed, and my roof still looks basically unchanged from before the cleaning, I contacted **** again. He offers to send someone back and clean it again if I paid him 2/3 the price of the initial cleaning for the return visit. He also suggests that I follow up with the manufacturer of ************ and try and get them to cover it. Wow, talk about not taking responsibility for your work... I didn't choose the method or products for the cleaning job, ****. He was completely unwilling to stand behind his work in any way, or provide anything resembling basic customer **********************.

We use products made by other companies. If the product doesn't work, that's on the manufacturing company.But there are other products that can be used which are harsher and potentially more effective. I avoid using those products in the first place because they are harsher on the environment and harder on the lungs. But I agreed to service your house again with a harsher product and at a discounted rate.Please try to understand that I'm doing the best I can to work with you on getting your roof cleaned.
