    This hotel is under new ownership and management as of 3/1/2009. The Bayfront Inn is an older motel and offers 16 rooms, most with ocean and coastal views. Right on the waterfront, guests walk to all shopping and entertainment. Guests enjoy welcome taffy, in room coffee and microwaves, free HBO and wireless internet, plus morning cinnamon buns and fruit. Some rooms are pet friendly. Cancellation policy is 5 days. Many special packages to make the stay affordable.

    I am really sad to write this and I am not typically one to write negative reviews. We have stayed at Bayfront Inn multiple times because they are pet friendly and so close to everything. I made a reservation last month and when I asked for a confirmation email, the older gentleman told me my confirmation number was "777" and did not even ask for my email. I didn't think anything of it and hung up. A couple of weeks ago, we realized that we double booked ourselves and had to cancel our trip. I began trying to call last week to cancel and the phone would just ring. I tried different times of the day in hopes I could get an answer and nothing. I tried calling yesterday and planned to leave a message but it told me the voicemail box was full, so I sent an email. I finally was able to get an answer this morning and the older gentleman told me that I was going to be charged because you have to cancel five days before. I explained I have been trying to call since last week, could not leave a message, and even sent an email. He told me he was going to talk to the lady in charge and see what he could do, but then asked if I could just come tomorrow. I asked him for the number of the lady in charge and he said "No, I'll see what I can do. I'll try my best" and told me to call back at one. We hung up and I just thought I should call back and try and speak to the manager myself. He answered and when I asked to speak with her or get her number he told me "I told you I'll take care of it. It's canceled. I'll pay for the charge out of my own pocket. Have a good day" very angrily and hung up on me. I called back and told him I did not appreciate being hung up on and wanted confirmation my room was being canceled, so I would like to speak to the woman in charge. He proceeded to tell me to calm down and relax. Mind you, I'm being very calm and respectful but he is getting himself very worked up.
