Recently, my partner and I moved out of our apartment at Eaves Mountain View at Middlefield after residing there for 14 months. Unfortunately, we received a bill that charged us unreasonably. From the start of our move-in, we noticed that the paint on the countertop was soft and not dry. This caused scratches and stains whenever hot or wet items were placed on it. Despite reporting this issue in our move-in checklist, providing photographic evidence, and requesting a reglaze, the problem persisted for a whole year, and the reglaze never happened. We even spoke to the leasing office to ensure that this was not our responsibility. However, upon moving out, the leasing office informed us that they would reglaze the countertop and charge us for it. We disputed the charge, submitting evidence such as photos, emails, and move-in and move-out checklists, but they did not alter their decision.
