This Women was issued a Refund in Full when the Birthmother decided not to place with her and proceeded with an alternate couple. This Client was sent full refund in the amount of $15,500.00 for the Contract fee she paid at the time. Client is upset because the Birthmother expenses she paid on behalf of the birthmother were not refunded as they are considered gifted. IF you are in the Adoption Arena you are well aware that all birthmother expenses given during an adoption are at risk and are not reimbursable. However, Mrs. Brenda Yanak decided to go to small claims court during Covid to sue for her$1500 back. The attorney Barbara Casey from Baby Step Adoptions in Pennsylvania dropped them as clients as well. She did not get this money back. Now with regards to the Post she has attached, This is not even her in this case and this article was written before the case was even completed. There are several people in this world that are unkind and thrive on trying to tear others down. Unique Adoptions has been in business for 30 years and have placed over one-thousand infants in wonderful homes, Brenda was not one of them and I was sorry her birthmother Amanda choose to move on. Clients are emotional when an adoption fails and will always turn to blame someone. It is part of the business we choose to enter into. What a shame the times we are living in. Brenda Yanak was not scammed she was given her money back and we have a cashed check showing she received every dime. But sometimes you cant make everyone happy can you? I am not here to BAD MOUTH anyone, and the Case above was resolved with the clients and the courts. In 30 Years Unique Adoptions has not been sued many times as Mrs. Yanak posts. just because she works for some huge pharmaceutical company and has money to throw around, does not mean she has the right to bash business with articles that have nothing to do with her. Of course this article was put out on the internet. But once the truth and documents came out the other party chose to settle out of court. Unique Adoptions has no control if a Birthmother chooses to change her mind, Parent her child ,or move to a different agency and choose different Adoptive Parents. The Women has the right to change her mind at anytime with no need for explanation. Look at our website and google reviews. We have so many happy clients and of course we have been instrumental in helping build their family. I think Mrs. Y**** never was able to adopt after all these years and this is why she is still trying to spread negative posts about my company. I wish her well and hope she is able to adopt one day.
