Unfortunately this reflects upon MG Properties, This is specifically for this location. (more details on yelp). We lived in a 1 bedroom from 2019-2023 and moved to a 2 bedroom in February 2023. we added a roommate which worked locally but lived elsewhere she was there 3 nights out of the week and kept the room locked. When moving in it had been obvious the carpets had not been replaced. The main bedroom had a huge urine stain which wasn't even cleaned prior to our move in. We had to clean it ourselves and there was a terrible urine smell. We documented everything visible to the eye. I was told by their staff that they charged a cleaning fee upon move out no matter how clean and this was non negotiable. This is not stated in the contract. I asked if I could hire their person, the only one approved by them since it had been clean already. We were given a quote and MP requested her to come a week AFTER our move out and we would pay her directly. Their person quotes the property one price and not by hour. So regardless if it takes 1 hour or 6 it's hundreds of dollars. We had 1 **** When moving out we received a $2,310 completed move out statement, when I requested invoices I was sent quotes with a layout that wasn't ours. We had done a pre move out inspection with a 95% empty unit and we were not given ANY statement with potential deductions to make any corrections needed. The cleaning fee doubled with no proof of why. We are being charged for full carpet replacement stating pet urine in a room that is physically impossible since there were no pets and the room remained locked. I was told it's my fault for not black lighting under my carpets prior to move in. When disputing the charges they corrected some of their mistakes, but are still overcharging for things that were there prior to our move in. They informed me they are charging Jetty the full amount so if not adjusted prior I will be taking this to small claims and requesting double for their bad faith charges.
