I ordered a fireplace insert from DIY BBQ. When I received the item I had 2 separate installers come to my house to give me a quote for installation. They both told me that the item was a fireplace, not a fireplace insert. I emailed DIY BBQ to initiate a return. When they heard what I was told they referred me to the manufacturer as they had never heard that before. I spoke with the manufacturer who confirmed that the item is a fireplace, not an insert. I emailed DIY BBQ two times since telling them what the manufacturer said and again asking to initiate a return and they have not respondedInitial Complaint

I ordered an item for $819. It arrived with their frame kit and was not going to fit properly so I mailed it back to them unopen in factory packaging. When it arrived to them they opened it and said the product was damaged and would not issue a refund. The package was however delivered new unopened in the factory packaging. IF the product was damaged it was when they opened it. The refused to issue a refund for the product they damaged.
