Date of original AC replacement/install: 8/19/2014 Cost: $4,935.00 Date of compressor failure/replacement: 09/08/2020 Cost: $2,100.00 Date of new compressor failure: 09/28/2022 Date of new AC unit installed: 10/03/2022 Total Cost to Liberty: $7,035.00 Cost to new company for replacement AC: $5,463.00 Total Cost: $12,498.00 The business committed to installing a new AC to replace our old non-functioning unit. Our dispute is that Liberty replaced our AC with a brand new unit that only worked for about 6 years. Even worse, the compressor that was replaced for this unit, after 6 years, only worked for 2 years. After this second failure, we were suspicious something wasn't done right in the first place. Liberty offered to replace the twice failed unit but they were going to charge us to fix it. We ended up going with someone else to fix the issue because we no longer trusted Liberty. The new company discovered that a Drier Filter unit may not have been replaced during the installation of the AC and that may have caused the problem. We ended up having to pay for a new AC unit with the new company. We would like our money back considering all the issues we ran into with the old unit. I wanted to let you know that ***** ***** (Owner) has spoken to the customer on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. He apologized for any issues they were having. He also came to an agreement with the customer that we will refund them the 2100.00. The customer was satisfied with that. I am mailing the check out today.Customer response
