The company wants to inflate prices for unfair work that wasn't completed to standard. So, on November 15, my home had a pipe burst and flooded. I called Superior Integrated Service to fix the pipe burst, and they outsourced their work to Stagier Plumbing to handle it. Once that was completed, they began the Water Mitigation process, and I signed the documents. I was quoted $5000.00 for the estimated work. I then contacted USAA, my insurance, to submit a claim. Once I got an insurance adjuster, they came out to my home with USAA-approved contractors (JCS Restoration) and began surveying the damage and work from Superior Integrated Service. I was informed by JCS that the work that Superior conducted was sub-standard and was causing more harm than good. So, I immediately called Superior and canceled the work. Superior informed me that they would not be able to make it out to pick up their equipment for a few days since it was right before the Thanksgiving holiday. JCS completed all work, including the Water Mitigation process. JCS Restoration completed the entire Water Mitigation process for $5259.56. Superior Integrated Service tried to bill USAA insurance for $14369.69 for the Water Mitigation services rendered. USAA refused to pay that amount and only approved paying $3983.66 for the work that was rendered and not completed. Shortly after, one of the Superior employees (******) contacted me, stating, "will not accept the offer and are willing to settle $11,750.00 and a Mechanics Lien will be placed on your home and legal action will be taken." It is now APR 19, 2024, and I was notified that I have been summoned to the ************************************************** are suing me for failure of payment, and a Mechanics Lien is placed on my home. This just shows me that they are inflating their process and looking for a payout with their shady business practices and hopefully bring to light of this situation.Business response

If you read the contractual agreement, this was an approximate estimate you need to read the entire contract to understand the Requirements of this contract. There is various terms and conditions that were not met. Equipment rental time is variable, and the estimate that was given was an approximate estimate. Nothing was our attorneys dealing with us in the court system.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: After encountering persistent mistakes in the water migration service that your company was providing. USAA my insurance adjuster an I opted to switch to another contractor. The work that your company would have been more detrimental than beneficial.Business response

This company said they would come out and inspect water damages free of charge. When they arrived they checked and said there was moisture in the walls, and in the ceiling they opened the ceiling. Thank God I did not allow them to open the walls as well. they removed a portion of the ceiling drywall and set up dehumidifiers and a blower. There were three people that came. They were here and left, the estimate they gave me was $3000 I later got a bill for over $4000 with a bunch of excessive charges listed that were never discussed. In addition, there were double charges for items that is. To be exactly the same and charges for things I know we’re not done.Business response

HelloPLEASE READ THE SERVICE AGREEMENT. The terms and conditions couldn’t be any clearer. If this customer did not want us to perform emergency services as per the service agreement signed prior to us sending a crew to her home then she should have told us she was getting other estimates. If you would like a copy of the service agreement you may obtain it from the Property owner or we would be glad to provide BBB with A copy.Initial Complaint

This particular complaint is in our opinion being filed by a homeowner that does not want to pay a bill and has signed a contract agreement in accordance with California Cslb law which we will pursue 100%.Customer response
