On Oct 17th I took my car to Rays auto repair shop for a check engine light being on. He told me he would diagnose and fix the issue and there would be a ****** mile warranty for the repair. The initial code was p2646. I asked if there were other things that needed to be done and he said this would repair the issue. He told me the cost for this would be ****** cents and I paid this. The same day after leaving and after repairs the check engine light came back on. I took the car to him the next day and he cleared the code p2646. 10/21 the code again returned and I took the car to his shop and he said I needed to bring it back on 10/23 because it was close to closing. I went back on 10/23 and he said it was a different issue despite it being the same code. He said he would charge additional money to fix it. He did not appropriately diagnose or address the continued issue despite agreeing to this and charging me ******. He may have repaired an unnecessary part, and may have damaged that new part by not addressing potential engine sludge which he should have diagnosed initially before replacing an expensive part that could be damaged by engine sludge. He did not do the appropriate repair, and did not address my concerns despite three subsequent visits. He did not provide the necessary information regarding the part he replaced and his documentation does not address the code that recurred.
