      I fell victim to the automatic renewal scam ArtistWorks does with students. Many other students have been ripped off in this scam.I did not realize I was on automatic renewal until I had been charged $700 dollars. When I asked for a refund they gave me $200 dollars back and said the rest of my money was archived. I had been a long standing student and now Im so angry Im telling everyone to never trust artistworks

      The first issue I had with ArtistWorks concerned my Ukulele ******* Certificate program. I finished all my lessons, passed my quizzes and video submissions, but was unable to take the last quiz and submit my last video due to a glitch in the ArtistWorks system that says I hadn't submitted Video 8. In fact, Video 8 was submitted and graded and was visible on my Report Card. It took literally WEEKS to remedy this situation, turning my 12-week course into a much longer course. For an online course site to not be able to handle tech issues (especially since the Founder has a degree in Computer Science and was the ** of Technology and Strategy for the ********************** that hinders their customers' success and obtaining what they paid for in advance is not only unprofessional but unethical. I wrote message after message about the issue only to receive apologies and assurance it was begin taken care of. It wasn't. I had to follow up and follow up, which took up my time and energy and a freelance writer and artist. Then after FINALLY getting the above issue remedied after, I don't know, weeks, I was able to complete and successfully pass the Ukulele ****************************. Of course, on the site, it says I'm STILL in ****** 12, even though ****** 12 clearly shows the quiz and video submission are completed and the Passing Grade is showing. I have NOT received my Certificate or even a "congratulations" from the company that boasts:"ArtistWorks is dedicated to providing anyone, anywhere in the world with affordable, interactive access to some of the greatest music teachers in the world. Our mission is to "Teach the World Music". ArtistWorks' patented Video Exchange Learning Platform connects master teachers with enthusiastic players in an industry unique social online learning environment where each interaction becomes a learning experience for all. Our goal is to provide the most comprehensive music education destination available online."Actually, the Master artists do their part, but ArtistWorks does NOT do its part in giving the customer what he/she has paid for; it does NOT handle technical issues nor does it provide the customer with a working platform with which to work with the Master Artist, and neither does it provide in a timely fashion (if at all, since I have NOT received my certificate yet) the "services" the customer paid for. The only thing I signed up for on ArtistWorks was the Certificate program, but I have asked them to cancel any kind of membership (I don't know about) because I will not work with them again. There is nowhere on my Account where I can cancel anything, including my credit card. Believe me, I have looked on the Account page, Profile page, etc. There is NO Membership information. That maybe because I only signed up for the Certificate course, but since there is LITERALLY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, who knows?It really doesn't matter how good the instructors are if you don't get what you paid for from the Service. I really doubt that the Master instructors realize how the customers are treated and I think if they knew, they would no longer be a part. I'm going to personally contact my instructors and tell them about my terrible experience. I'm really tired of businesses thinking they are doing the customer a favor when it's the customers that pay their bills AND their master artists. And that's why I'm filing this review with the Better Business Bureau. And by the other reviews, it's clear other customers have had this same issue. Here is a list of the times I contacted ArtistWorks during this 12-week (which is now turning into 20+ week program.
