We hired ************************* to put in a pocket door, move an electrical outlet and put in a recessed light in our small bathroom. We got a verbal quote from him for $1,800.00, if we did the painting. He said the job should take 2-3 days. We gave him a check for $900.00 to start the job. ******, who worked with ****** started the job on Sept. 15th. He started on the electrical, and removed the wall where the pocket door would be installed. ***** said he would be coming the next day, Sept. 16th. He didn't show, so I texted him on Sunday, Sept. 19th to see when he would be coming to finish the job. He responded by telling me they would be back Sept. 21st. ****** came back on the 21st to finish the electrical and install the recessed light. He told me he would be going out of town the next week for personal reasons. I contacted ***** on Sept. 26th to get the status of completing the job. I told him if he wasn't able to complete the job by Oct. 1st, we would be out of town from Oct. 4th to the 11th. I didn't hear from ***** after we got back, so I contacted him on Oct. 16th. He said he would come on Oct. 21st. He came back on Oct. 21st, and installed the track for the pocket door. He said he would be back the next day to finish the job. He came and installed the door, put up new drywall, and caulked. He said he ran out of caulking and would be back the next day, Oct. 25th, to finish. My husband gave him a check for $963.54. He didn't show on the 25th. I contacted him on the 27th, and he said he would be there on the 30th. He did come and finish the caulking. When I asked him about doing the texture, he said he didn't do that, and for us to contact ****** to do it. After a lot of back and forth, our job still isn't completed. I finally called ***** last night, Nov. 15th and told him I didn't want him to come back. OP Construction:License #****** (currently under suspension.)
