I am rejecting this response because:Owner had threatened me to remove my negative review on Yelp and has responded unprofessionally. They owner refused the request for a $400 refund and denied to provide a breakdown of costs. On Yelp, they had special discounts but none was applied. Now the owner is contacting me via email to remove my dispute and feel that I'm getting pressured/threatened to follow his demands. Based on other reviews, threats against their clients seem to be a continuous and unsafe reaction.
I do not need additional resolution at this point and may need to file a police report.
Sincerely,

On March 16th, I hired this company through Thumbacks platform to unload a truck at my new apartment in Fremont. I hired this company for two hours as they had good reviews, had a reasonable rate, and their T&C were mentioning heavy lifting, free use of protective pads for the carpet, the furnitures, etc... They came on March 26th for my moving, I had unloaded half of the truck (boxes) so that they could do a good job for the furnitures and sofa. They couldn't speak English, kept going into my apartment with dirty shoes and dollies and withouth the protection for carpet (white carpet is stained now and I will be fianancially responsible toward the landlord). They also tried to fit a sofa in the corridors and broke the corner by shredding it on the walls, against without of the promised protective equipments. When I complain to the owner show spoke English, he first wanted to call not text, then asked me to pay $150 cash if I wanted to make an insurance claim at 60c per lbs of damaged furniture. I complained though the THumbacks platform, they have been restricted there since they didn't reply. I want a refund of my $240 cash payment, a check for repair of sofa and cleaning of carpet, and the assurance that they will never contact me since they have my address.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:They offered to reimburse 60cent per lb (standard practice) only if I pay them $150 for lifting the sofa (as you can see in the original text message). As you can see in the booking, there is no mention of $150 lifting fees for a sofa, I booked them for heavy lifting for $100 per hour (2 hours minimum+tip). I filed a claim to Thumtback for the amount they mentioned (around $800 at first, then more using quotes from professional arounds for cleaning the sofa and carpet).I booked them with complimentary carpet cover and furniture cover, none of them was used. as the movers didn't speak English, I texted the owner after they left and after I returned my uHaul truck.
As they mentioned, I asked them if I could use a ride to uHaul, which they refused (understandable due to liability), the owner later texted me that he can refund me $20 uber but only if I gave him a good review. I paid for my lift myself as it was not part of the original contract.
They also offered me a refund of thr $240 only if I remove my BBB claim. As I am now in the process of establishing a property damage claim with Thumbtack, I have not done so. I am waiting for a resolution with Thumbtack to close this claim.
Sincerely,
Alexandre ********
