The Reunion Committee, Inc. was engaged to organized ******** High School's 50th reunion. The reunion was initial schedule for the first part of 2020. I bought two tickets at $140 each. Due to the pandemic, the reunion was continued to November 2020. More recently, the reunion was moved to February 19th. I advise companies on COVID compliant and feel that getting a bunch of 68-71 year olds together at this time is reckless. While the event will be outdoors and attendees must either be vaccinated, but not boosted, or have a negative test within the last 72 hours, based on my knowledge and experience I do not feel safe attending this event. I advised this company to put the reunion off until at least late spring or summer when COVID transmission historically is reduced, but they refused. They also refused my request for a refund. This violates Business and Professions Code section ***** that states "the ticket price of any event which is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled shall be fully refunded to the purchaser by the ticket seller upon request." Despite my bringing this statutory obligation to the company's attention, they still refused my request for a refund.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/02) */ ********* purchased one reunion ticket (not 2) at $130 (not $140) on Jan 18, 2020 for his ******** high school reunion. Due to Covid, the reunion date had to be postponed. ********* was notified on Feb 10, 2021 that his reunion had been postponed to Feb 19, 2022. It was not until almost a year later, on Jan 22, 2022, that we were sent an email that he wanted a refund. At this time, we were less than a month away from the reunion. The reunion was in an outdoor space at the hotel. ********** is open and we comply with the county and hotel regulations.
