I took a chartered fishing trip with this business once over 4 years ago. I have regularly received marketing emails from them but, I consented to receiving emails so I never had a problem. The problem I have is that after over 4 years, they began sending me marketing text messages, which I never consented to. I gave them my phone number because I believed it was necessary for them to collect that information to have on hand for liability and legal reasons. I NEVER gave them consent to use my phone number in any other manner than for contact that was absolutely necessary. I find it disgusting and an abuse of trust to have them harvest my information to use in this manner when it was never consented to in the first place. It does not matter that I was given the option to opt out, I NEVER SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED MARKETING TEXTS TO BEGIN WITH. If they have enlisted a third party service to send these texts, now my personal information is in the hands of this third party which I most definitely did not consent to having my personal information shared with. This vile business practice needs to stop now. I have blocked them and all their emails from further contact and I will never be doing business with them again.
