We went into this process to engage Calimingo with positive thoughts and hopes. They however proved to be only out for their $4450 design fee, regardless of if they could deliver your required project with budget.We gave them our requirements and they said we could definitely not get an outdoor bathroom within budget. They said they were not certain the outdoor structure could work within but said they would do what they could to ensure we got what we wanted, which included the structure. The problem was that after we paid them their fees, they showed us a design and quote for $225K over our budget! We were in shock! They acted so nonchalantly as though being so much over our budget was expected. This was absolutely nuts to us. We then asked them to produce what we originally asked for within our $350K budget and they completely stripped the design down and definitely did not include ANY structure at all. It was the most basic design we had ever seen. They refused to give us our $4450 fee back which we believed they should have, as the plan they gave us was not what we agreed to when approved to enter into an agreement with them for this. They deceived us believing they could deliver our design with our requirements. They are not a company with morals nor good business acumens. They rushed to get us in and told us what we needed in order to get us signed up and our fee paid. Then they systematically broke down our plan and requirements to get within our $350K budget, with their elevated pricing being the main issue. We used other vendors prior to engaging them and received what we required from them and within budget. They completely oversold us to get our design fee and underdelivered, with first a $225K over budget proposal, then a stripped down version, still over our *** budget. This company is therefore NOT RECOMMENDED under any circumstances. Also, their designs were lacking any artistic value as they were very plain and uninspiring. Really unprofessional.
