            I hired Shenkman Construction for a bathroom remodel. Their work was substandard, and their work quality was poor in numerous ways. Bathroom tiles were angled wrong allowing water to pool, decorative tiles installed too low allowing water to pool, floor tile was started from the back wall making small 1” cuts at the entryway. Worst of all, they did not plumb the bathtub spout correctly causing it to leak. This leak destroyed drywall in common walls of the bedroom and living room, and ruined the carpet. They came back to fix the problem, but when they were done the same spout was crooked and not flush to the bath wall. The drywall repair was poorly done as they made no attempt to match texture, and they cut outlet holes too big which caused gaps. When told, the owner denied this was possible and refused to speak with me any longer and referred me to his attorney. I had to hire another plumber to fix the plumbing errors, and the owner refuses to pay for any damages caused by his poor work.

            Tried to work with this business in a very desperate and devastating natural disaster peroid in our lives... offered payment for only an estimate. They said no payment necessary yet still never gave one. They stopped communicating and ghosted me for 3 weeks after promising to give it, Yet never did. Not interested in working with me I guess and they should have said so. I waiting 4 months, nothing. So I left a one star review on Google. They contacted me asking me asking why. So I told them why and asked them to not contact my phone number. The owner continued to text me 7 more times, threatened my husband, and told me that I'm "dodging a bullet". If it continues I'll also be filing a civil harrassment lawsuit. I've blocked the number but texts go to a hidden folder and calls go to voice-mail so he can still contact me. I've text him 3 times not to contact my number.

            It's unfortunate you have chosen to go this route and even go as far to make fake accounts to leave multiple 1 star reviews and slander my company on the internet. I'm sorry to hear about your financial troubles with your home, but once we heard that you were already working with a contractor and only using us to write up a bid (since you needed to submit 3 bids) we simply chose not to associate with you any further. As a contractor, we have the option of deciding who we want to do business with, just as homeowners have that same choice. You were clearly upset by this.. as i have said before- we in no way, shape or form, had anything to do with your financial denial from fema. There are literally 100+ other contractors you could have gotten your bids from. To blame us for your financial troubles is a bit strange and as we have said before, we clearly did dodge a bullet when we decided not to do business with you, as shown from your actions.
