This concern is about my father, ******** *****. I work for my fathers primary care doctor and this is about his custom diabetic shoes that were sent to Inland Artificial Limb and brace in June and about 2 weeks from today, they called my mother to let her know they are no longer taking the insurance Medicare. I have been talking with Daniel I believe is the manager from the office in Corona Ca. making sure all the documents needed for my father are received within time and orders are signed. This has been going on since June 2022 and before Daniel there was another manager by the name of ***** which she was also helping with this order. Til this day my father never received his diabetic shoes that he really needs due to his condition which is not getting any better. These shoes were recommended not only by my fathers primary, but also by the podiatry Doctor and an Orthopedic Doctor. I just think this is unfair that it has taken them 3 months to turn around and tell my father that they don't take Medicare insurance when my father did everything right as far as appointments' with the company for measurements. My father really needs these shoes for his medical condition and being in pain all the time from his feet.Business response

Good Morning
We have received the complaint letter filed by ***** ***** regarding her father ******** *****. Inland Artificial Limb & Brace Inc. has merged with Hanger Company effective 08/02/2022. At the time of Mr. *****’s appointment we were unaware that Hanger does not accept payment for Diabetic Shoes/Inserts from Medicare. Per Hanger guidelines we are unable to provide services for Mr. ***** at this time.
Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
They were aware of the changes that Inland Artificial Limb and Brace was going to do, which was join the Hanger. I was aware that Hanger was going to buy them off but at the time my father was having the services they were still Inland Artificial Limb and Brace. I was calling them constantly, making sure they had received everything that they needed for my father. When I spoke to ***** which was the former manager she said she would take care my dads case and she will call me back to follow up. That was not the case I called her back and was not available, after a few days I called back thats when I found out Daniel was the new manager. I had to tell Daniel everything that was going on with my father and I did let him know that he had gone twice to get measure because their office lost or forgot to document my dads first visit and the measurements. My father went again in the month of June and they did the same thing again which was the measurement and documentation. When I spoke to Daniel he said he was going look into my dads case and make sure it gets taken care of and follow up with me. Again this was not the case because I had to call Daniel back in July and he said that Salvadors shoes had been order and everything submitted to the insurance and he should be getting them in 4-6 weeks since that is how long they take. He also mentioned to me that in a few months that Hanger was going to buy them off and after that they will no longer see Medicare Patients, I said to him well Im glad he went in June which means he was under their care and taking Medicare. This makes me so upset because they are obviously lying this is my dads health which he is having a very difficult time walking since he does have diabetes with arthropathy and was recommended not only by 1 doctor but 3 recommending diabetic shoes to help with pain and to prevent from getting worse. The shoes are suppose to help with circulation and his diabetic arthorpathy and of course lessen the pain when putting weight on his foot.
