Owner (*********************) kept my leftover wrap without letting me know there was any left over from my wrap job. He then proceeded to set my leftover wrap on display in his shop and profit off of it. After that he then proceeded to do work on another car and used my wrap that I paid for and provided to him. All while not letting me know which I have no permission for it to be used. He again made zero effort to make it aware he hadnt used all of the wrap I left for him to wrap my car in. I took my car to him March order 2022 and it took me 3 months for him to post something on his Instagram to see he had used my wrap for his own profit on another car.

      Business response

      07/02/2022

I am *********************, the Owner of NorCal Wraps. *********************** brought his vehicle to our shop along with a roll of vinyl he provided for us to install on his vehicle. The service was completed on March 23, 2022. Roughly 3 months ago. As with all of my clients, we offer a 1 year workmanship warranty on our services. Normally, I am the one that orders/supplies the vinyl on my jobs, so if for any reason the customer were to have to come and get certain pieces replaced, the vinyl would be safely stored in our shop and ready to be used on their vehicle. The same applies for ******, we had his roll and scrap vinyl pieces safely stored in our shop with his vehicle under warranty. This means if a clients vehicle came back under warranty to get fixed, and we for whatever reason didnt have any extra vinyl from a customers vehicle, then we would order the extra vinyl out of pocket to cover whatever needed to be fixed on the vehicle. The vinyl rolls come in a width of 5ft. All that was left over from this particular job was roughly 10in on the roll. Not enough vinyl to replace any type of panels or anything on his car specifically. On June 18th 2022 a close friend of my co-worker, came to get vinyl accents applied to his vehicle. He browsed my leftover vinyl storage and picked out what was the small leftover pieces from Javiers vehicle. We applied roughly 22in x 6in of the leftover vinyl as accents on this customers vehicle. We posted the finished results to our Instagram account. This is when *********************** sent me a direct message as follows: Is that my leftover wrap? How come I didnt get it back I paid for that bruh. About 30 minutes after this message he shows up to our shop in person with 2 other females. Immediately, ****** and a female walk into the back part of our shop (which is off limits for customers) and starts getting verbally aggressive stating he came to get his vinyl back. I try to voice the fact that ****** had never showed any interest in wanting the very few scraps of vinyl that were left from his job. The female that was with him says ****** was unaware there was even any vinyl leftover from the job. Which was untrue. When ****** had originally picked up his vehicle from my shop, I voiced to him that I had a small amount of left over from the job if he wanted me to use the extra pieces to blend his Camo pieces together because some of the Camo didnt line up on certain panels. He didnt show any signs of interest in the leftover vinyl. I then try to diffuse the situation and show him what left over vinyl I had, and that I would give it back to them no problem.. The female he had with him begins raising her voice demanding the contact information of my recent client that had just got the vinyl accents applied to his car. She demanded for his phone number and name and how much he paid for our services, I told her this was private information and that I will not give out my customers information to anyone. Especially someone that is acting very aggressive. She then demanded that I tell my client to come back and that I rip off all of the vinyl I had just applied to his vehicle. I explained to her that this is also not an option because once vinyl is applied, it can not be removed. Slowly, they are becoming more aggravated and my co-worker speaks up to try to diffuse the situation. *********************** aggressively shouts at him to shut up and proceeds to be verbally aggressive. I try my best to tell him that I understand his point of view and that I would like to compensate him for the vinyl I used. He showed no interest in being compensated, it seemed he just wanted to cause a scene. They eventually leave my shop and stand outside to call the police. The police arrive and speak with the three of them. After about 10 minutes the cops never come talk to us, they just leave. I try reaching out to *********************** asking if he would like to resolve this dispute between us over a phone call, and that I would still be willing to compensate him. I received no response from him to this day. At this point, my compensation offer no longer stands. And all of his warranties with NorCal Wraps have been voided at this time.

      Customer response

      07/05/2022

I am rejecting this response because: he is telling nothing but lies and it is funny to me that he is blaming me the owner of who bought the wrap, for all these other things just to make his business look good. He not only stole my wrap but then proceeds to admit it and his compensation was $20 for a roll of wrap that was over *****. Doesnt matter how much he used hes a wrap shop owner he should know how much these rolls of wraps costs. To me it seems like he wanted to keep it from the get go to sell it later on without me knowing and thats exactly what he did. He also failed to mention his attitude and taunting towards me. When I asked him to remove my vinyl off of the other car he replied with youre gonna have to go do it yourself. There was other things said of course some of which I cant say on here. He did nothing but lie since I confronted him and obviously I was not very happy for having something stolen from me. He only made the effort to contact me after I filed a complaint with the BBB besides that there was 0 effort to even resolve the conflict. Even with what he said I dont believe any of it because he was basically laughing in my face when I went to get my wrap back. Basically taunting saying yeah I used your wrap theres nothing you can do. Also what I would like is not money not compensation. What I want is for my wrap to be removed from the other car.
