            Hello, on Fed 25,2022 I placed an order for 4 of these memory modules for my 2008 Mac Pro 2.8Ghz. ********* A1186 Mac Pro XXXX XXXX XXXX - FB-Dimm, 4 GB, DDR2 800, ECC ********* I noticed they did not have the heat sinks that my original Apple memory had but I installed them and all seemed fine til they ran a while. Then the fans go full force and will not slow down. I pulled the memory back out and tried it with my memory and all is fine. Then I noticed your FB-Dimm's have a different PC speed (PCX-XXXXF) than mine (PCX-XXXXF) and Apple says they may not have the required sensors that the Mac Pro needs. I have included pictures so you may compare your memory with mine. Please tell me what I need to do to correct this, thanks so much for your help, ***** *****

            My 2010 Mac Pro 5,1 would not turn on last Tuesday (9/14). It had been running fine all day but after a normal shutdown I forgot I needed to print a document. It had been powered down for about 10 minutes and when I pressed the power button nothing happened. I have had infrequent thermal shutdowns in the past with heavy CPU usage and after a few hours when the processor cooled down I was able to turn it on. This time after resting overnight it would still not turn on the next morning. Suspecting the power supply I called Mac Parts Depot and went over the symptoms with a knowledgeable technician who agreed there was a 90% chance it was the power supply and only a small possibility it was the logic board. He said their standard free shipping Priority Mail which is usually 2 days in the US. He also mentioned that the power supply could be returned with no restocking fee if it did not correct the problem. So that was Wednesday evening (9/15). I ordered the power supply. It shipped from Phoenix the following day (Thursday) and arrived Saturday morning (1/18). I installed if Saturday afternoon and my Mac Pro was back up and running. I was very impressed with Mac Parts Depots's excellent service and highly recommend them.
