Was quoted a price over the phone of $7700.00 to move my household from ********** to *******. When they had the truck half full, they told me thats all they could take unless I paid more money as I had supposedly used up the cubic feet of space they quoted. I had to be out of my house that day so I had no choice but to pay. The new price was $10,800.00 for **** cubic feet which is a full truck. They filled the truck and left. This was on June 3, 2022. On July 28 of 2022 I had the deliver my belongings to my new house in *******. When the truck showed up, it was only half full. It was the same size truck that the loaders used. I had to have the second half of the payment of $5400..00 in cash before they would unload. I have it to the driver and then he tells me I have to pay another $615.00 or they would leave. They couldnt give me any reason for the additional fee other than they were told to collect it. Again, with no choice, I paid it. As they unloaded, I noticed that many of the boxes were damaged by water and bleached from the sun. I had things broken, and things missing. When I asked how they got my belongings in a half a truck while the loaders needed a whole truck, the said they must not have packed as well. Based on the half truck, I should have only been charged a total of $5500.00, so I was charged almost double. Trying to file a claim turned out to be all but impossible. I think the claims office is actually in their office as employees of this company. This company needs to have their license revoked and the business closed. They are a bunch of ********* crooks taking advantage of people in an industry that apparently isnt monitored vey well. Please do what you can to close this company down! I got no bill of lading or job ticket from this company.
