On 10/29 I officially hired them after they'd been working for me for some months as a sub contractor for another company, (not knowing that they are apparently only licensed as a mover) to build railroad tie walls, and a retaining wall and signed a terribly written estimate. They have repeatedly not shown up for weeks on end, lied about coming, lied about how they were doing things and then when I questioned it said it was better that way, lied about there being rain when there clearly wasn't, lied about what they did, lied about coming, so many lies I can't count. They told me today they were using less qualified workers because of my budget, they've had to redo several things that were done wrong, and still haven't fixed many of them and they are unsafe. ***** is never here himself although he said he or his partner ***** would be there every day, (& have a set amount of hours per day in the contract) and has workers who I cannot communicate with come out sporadically, only when I'm very upset no one has been there. It is now 6 months since they started with the other company (3 months just his company) and every time I speak with ***** he says 'two weeks, a couple weeks, We're 80% done, that part can be done in one day etc.' it never is. Today Jan 28 I finally asked him to stop the job and refund my last payment of $5000 that was towards *************** that he didn't buy, plus some more for top soil that was already supposed to have been dropped off but never was. They broke planters and plants and left garbage everywhere. I have given him over $26,000. I still have an unusable yard. Not one of the 4 walls is finished there is no top soil to plant, the staircase isn't finished, my irrigation system has been completely taken apart.
