I bought a wall bracket from bestbuy.com on Oct. 6, 2023 for $74.19. *** tracking #, 1Z1825750327721760, shows the item was delivered back to the sender. Best Buy told me a month ago they would credit my account, but that never happened. I logged into my Beneficial State Bank online account and chose the option to dispute the charge. I filled out the webform, but there was no "submit" button to submit the form. I reviewed the bank's website but could not find a fax number for the dispute department. I then called Beneficial State Bank. I told the automated system to get my a representative. The recorded messaged asked me the transaction had been posted to my account yet. I answered the question. It then said, "goodbye," and ended the call. In early January 2022, I was excited to sign up for the Aspiration Credit Card offered by Beneficial State Bank. When my first payment was due on 01.28.22, I attempted to use the company's electronic app to pay my **** as I had been instructed to do when I got the credit card. The app didn't work. Every time I logged on, I was diverted to a sales page that was designed to sell people on getting the credit card and not for **** paying. I called Beneficial on 01.25.22, informed them the app didn't work & I wanted to pay my ****. They took my payment over the phone, using the info I provided from a paper check from my US Bank Checking Account. They gave me a confirmation number of ********** for my payment, for my Aspiration Credit Card ending in ****. Then in February, I tried to pay my next **** using the app again. It still didn't work. So, I tried to call in a payment like I had done in January. They denied my payment saying that Certegy Payment Solutions, a consumer credit reporting agency, had rejected my payment because I had bad credit (My credit score is around 750!). I called Certegy and they claimed I had no negaitive history and that they did not deny my payment (I have this documented). I spent hours on the phone going back and forth between Certegy and Beneficial to prove this credit worthiness, but Beneficial would still not accept my payment. I then told Beneficial that I wanted to cancel my Aspiration Credit Card immediately because it was so hard to pay my ****. They canceled it. On 02.22.22, Beneficial told me by phone that I had a pay-off balance of $913.48, & I could mail a paper check for this amount to their bank. I did. Beneficial, however, has continued to hound me by phone saying that I owe them more money. I've asked them repeatedly for a detailed statement, because I don't think I do owe them anything-- and, if they continued to post charges after I canceled my account, this is their mistake, not mine. They continue to tack on late fees too.

The resolution proposed by ************************* of Beneficial State Bank to address my complaints regarding their Aspiration Credit Card is not acceptable. They are willing to waive all interest and fees that have been charged to my account but are claiming that I owe them a past-due balance $237.82. I do not owe them any more money and will not pay this amount. They have also reported my alleged delinquency to the financial credit bureaus, which has caused my very good FICO score to drop nearly 100 points.

I closed my Aspiration Credit Card account back in February 2022 after a day-long ordeal when I tried to pay my credit card **** on time at that time. I was only an Aspiration Credit Card customer for two months because it was so difficult to pay my bills. The Aspiration App for **** payment did not work, and when I attempted to pay by check over the phone, Aspiration refused my payment (though they had accepted my payment this way for my January ****). On 02.22.22, a representative from Beneficial State Bank informed me by phone that I had a final pay-off amount for my closed Aspiration account of $913.48. This was to be my last **** from Beneficial. I mailed Beneficial a paper check for this exact amount, which they accepted.

Subsequently, Beneficial has informed me by phone, and more recently by paper invoices, that I still owe them even more money. During the spring, I got phone call after phone call, hounding me for this money. I felt harassed. I am extremely suspicious of this activity. How could my closed and paid off account obtain new charges? I don't think these charges are legitimate. Though Beneficial has now sent me a few invoices on paper, the charges were never itemized on the invoices-- as I had repeatedly requested when I was hounded by phone-- so I could see what the charges were for and dispute them. Additionally, if Beneficial accepted any charges after my account was closed and my final pay-off amount was paid, the fact that Beneficial accepted these charges is Beneficial's fault, not my fault. Beneficial should be responsible for any charges they accepted after my account closure and pay-off.

      Sincerely,

      A. ***********************
