      Ordered a cord of wood and paid through cash app. He said he would deliver mid week the following week. When we didnt hear from him we asked where the wood was and he said Friday. That day came and went and he no showed again. When asked for our money back he ignored all contact. So we asked if he wouldnt reimburse us to just deliver the wood. Never heard from him and he ignores all forms of contact still.

      On Dec. 9 2022, I ordered a cord of wood stacked from Steve **** firewood for $600 to *************************************. He agreed to deliver in in the next week on the same day. I paid him $600 on Venmo to his wife ******************************* "personal Venmo". He was not able to deliver on Friday so we put off delivery until we were back to that house end of the month. On Dec. 29th, I texted Steve again and told him were were back. He did not respond at all. I texted again on Jan. 2, Jan. 6, and Jan. 14th but he never responded. I called and left voicemails but no response. No wood was delivered ever. I requested a refund from *************************** on January 12 on Venmo for the $600 and she never responded to refund the money. So I paid $600 for nothing, with no explanation or response from the seller Steve ****. Please help me resolve this. I have photos of the text interaction and the Venmo payment, but now I see **** has failed to respond to 11 of 12 BBB complaints.

      We ordered a full cord of wood to be delivered in August. We were told if we paid via Venmo upfront we would get a $20 discount. We had an order history with them the last few year prior to this. They never delivered the wood, they would not return my calls. They would say they would deliver when they are in our area and never did. So I requested a refund and still have not received either the money back or the wood. I paid $455 dollars and continue to try and contact them with no avail.

      Sent in web order form to contract for 3/4 cord of wood delivered to my home address. Business contacted me and said it would be $375. I offered ***** and to arrange time for delivery. Business sent me name of *************************** as wife for *****. Payment sent. Business stopped responded from that time on.

      I ordered Almond Firewood to be delivered and stacked for $350.00 on 10/10/2022. Received an email from Steve stating to ***** his wife *************************** the $350.00, which I did on 9/13/2022,and he would contact me asap to schedule a deliver date. We emailed a couple of times from the Venmo the money with reasons why the firewood has not been delivered. The week of 10/23/22 to the present I have been trying to get a hold of Steve **** and now his email address does not work and he has taken my $350.00 and I never received my firewood.It seems as if he takes your money up front because he wants to be paid before delivering and then never gets in touch with you again.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH STEVE SIMS ALMOND FIREWOOD

      I wanted to buy firewood for my son in ************* and used Steve Sims Almond Firewood. He said he would not take *****, so I sent him a check. After 5 weeks, Steve **** claimed he never got my check. So I arranged for Steve to drop off wood at my son's home and get a check upon delivery. After the wood was delivered, Steve claimed my son's check bounce so my son paid him with ***** (which somehow he now accepted). Then it turns out that the check also cleared. So Steve **** was paid twice. After contacting him a week ago, Steve said he would look into it. But now I haven't heard from him and he refuses to reply to my emails. We paid Steve ***'s twice and would like to get one of the double payments back.Steve claimed the check for $165 bounced on 7/2/22 and Venmo payment was made the next day.Any help would be appreciated.

      I reached out to this business to inquire about a time-sensitive order/delivery. He stated that delivery within time frame needed would be no problem. I placed the order and provided full payment, in advance, via the method he requested (Zelle), even though it was more than the advertised price. He then set three times for delivery, and no-called/no-showed all three times. Since then, I have reached out several times to request a refund. He has provided not response, no refund, and no delivery.

      On 4/21/2022, I advanced $950 via Venmo for 2-cords of firewood. ************ acknowledged (via e-mail) receipt of the payment and indicated a delivery of that next Saturday at the earliest, and no later than Monday. Nearly 2-weeks have passed now and I have never heard from him again, after multiple calls and e-mails. His Yelp page indicates that his "going silent" after receiving payment is common, if not his standard operating procedure. I am under no illusion, at this point, that there has been a mistake (other than my placing good faith in someone who is not deserving of such) or a misunderstanding, or "something came up". ************ clearly has no intention of delivering the firewood.

      I have purchased firewood from Steve **** multiple times in the past. This time after I submitted my order he requested a zelle transfer of $445 for 1 cord of firewood. He promptly responded with a thank you with no delivery date. I have since tried to reach him multiple times with only 1 response stating delivery would be "next week". That was on 11/5/2021. It is now 12/3/2021 and still no further response. He has also ignored my zelle request for a refund.So Payment without delivered goods. I guess my next steps are to try to work with my bank to void the zelle transfer. I hope maybe this can result in him being banned from zelle as he is using this service in a fraudulent way. Maybe small claims court as well.

      * Delivered late, had to cancel other plans.* Tried to charge more than we'd agreed to.* Delivery was short by at least 1/4.* Wood wouldn't burn.* When burned atop other wood, spit and popped violently. Wood was not properly seasoned, moisture content was high.* Said he would make it right if we continued to have problems, but stopped responding to all communication.We spoke with Steve and were told you need to follow special instructions to burn almond wood, which he hadn't mentioned before. He asked us to try, and promised to make things right if we continued to have trouble. We followed his instructions exactly and had the same problems. We tried to contact him many more times over the course of weeks but he never spoke to us again or responded in any way.We ended up having to hire someone to haul this useless wood away at our own expense.
