            USDOJ v Kaiser Permanente

            On October 25, 2021, the US Attorney’s Office filed a lawsuit against Kaiser Permanente (case 3:13-cv-03891). The lawsuit stems from allegations that between 2009 and 2018, Kaiser unlawfully obtained payments from the Medicare Part C program, also known as Medicare Advantage.

            According to court documents Kaiser obtained the payments by systematically altering patient medical records to add diagnoses that either did not exist or were unrelated to the patient’s visit. It is further alleged that these addendums were added to patient medical records well after the patient’s visit unbeknownst to the patient.

            The case is currently pending.

              My deductible amount on my physical benefit card and in my kp.org online account both said it was $2,500. I went to get some services (all in network) that added up to around $2,900 and was told that my deductible was $5,000 because I had someone else on my plan. All the while, the card I received in the mail and the card that I have on my kp.org account said that it was $5,000. This was misleading information to hear AFTER I had received services and now was financially responsible. I could have made other considerations on the services I was going to receive if I was told that my information was incorrect ahead of time.Not only was my deductible information incorrect, I reached out in May 2024 to member services to hopefully resolve this issue and have my deductible match the $2,500 number I was told it was. They "created a case" and I never heard ANY follow up. I called again (now August) and the person told me that my case had been escalated and a note was put on it that they would not change my deductible but NO ONE EVER REACHED OUT TO ME.Overall misleading deductible inforamation, I feel like my deductible was doubled under my nose without being told before hand and when I reached out for support there was no follow up on a resolution in my case.

              They gave me surgery date on august 16 for fibroid removal but cancel it . Firstly doctors were not able to find problem why i am having severe sharp pain during period and blood in my p*** But in march emergency department found a 12 cm of fibroid back to my uterus . It squeezed my uterus and became it almost flat. I couldnt walk properly as this fibroid putting pressure on my back as it is mostly in the center of bellybutton. I approached to case management they are like they are like i have to wait for another 8 months. More severe is my surgeon and case management team sounds like same they do surgery when they see they cannot stop someone bleeding or someone having or severe case. So, they me to get ill severely then they will help me out. I have visited emergency atleast 7 to 9 times as i pee is leaking i use pad every day having blood in my ****, heavy breathing. Every time just gave me pain killer that is it . I had depression last year it seems i am going to have it again. They disturb my mental health. They dont consider me as a human
