Bait and switch. They have it down to a science. Used car has been listed on site for 25 days. I call make appointment to test drive. They confirm via text. And again via phone call. Drive 35 miles in a rainstorm to arrive. Ask for **** the Manager , he has no idea who I am. I get handed some generic paperwork to fill out and submit. Make some hot chocolate and wait. After a while a nice gentleman comes up to me and my 80+ yo mother and says that car is at the jaguar dealership in ** getting worked on. Can I interest you?. Classic bait and switch. Fraudulent business Practices that start with the person who answers the phone (******) and goes up to the General ****** (****). They will tell you anything, lie to your face, and then act dumb. I wish i would have read the reviews before visiting this dealership but thank God I didn't buy anything from them. They are straight out gangsters they are the pushy and very disrespectful starting from the general manager down.Review from Noa M

STAY AWAY!!!!! Every person that works at this dealership are out to take money from you. Most unprofessional dealership *** worked with. I live four hrs away. The dealership had a vehicle I wanted so I called 2x to set expectations. Both times different person said your lucky VIP mangers sales event. Every car is marked down. Come see the vehicle my manager will market down you need to be here in order to get the deal. Following day I saw up. Talk to the first sales guy, dry personality. Asked about the vehicle and vip sales event. He laughed and said they say what they have to to get people to the dealership floor..I shouldve left. So I asked is there any room to to drop the price he asked his manager he said no. Im ok with the posted prices. I want the vehicle. Once I dropped my guard the guy saw it and had me sign details of the car. Not a contract so I didnt pay much attention. Once I got to the finance manager super nice at first but once I started to ask questions got rude. This rats were trying to get me with add one that were up to $8k in addition to the warranty that was additional $6k. The LoJake and paint coating protection was a hard no. Additional $8k. I wouldve purchased the basic 100k miles manufacture warranty. Theres value to that. But these guys didnt allow me to purchase the vehicle with out the add ones. The dropped one, still additional $5. They ask me to leave. You dont have to buy the vehicle. Some big guy with tattoos (i believe sales assistant or manager) I believe these guys are in business only because they add on things people are naive to realize theyre getting ripped off. VERY BAD! 09/29/2023 I purchased a car at this dealership, 2018 ***** HR-V. Many factors led to this being a terrible experience, but I'm specifically complaining about the owner of this dealership calling me after I posted a bad review to tell me that he's canceling the deal. I had spent 4 hours at this dealership on 9/28/2023 after taking a test drive. I booked an appointment for a test drive at 5 PM, and when I get there, they tell me the car can't be tested because "it isn't ready yet." I asked if I just wasted my time coming here, and they "made an exception" and let me test drive it even though the car hadn't been detailed yet. Fine, whatever. I liked the car, so I proceeded with the finance manager in the back room signing all the necessary paperwork. I put a $10k downpayment, and came back the next day when the car was finished. They did not call or text me at all the next day, I had to call twice to get a status update, at which time they told me the car was ready. So I get there, they hand over the keys, and the car isn't detailed at all. It's very dirty and grimy, and they acted dumbfounded like they didn't know what I was talking about. This is what led to my bad ****** review. A few hours later, the dealership owner, ***********************, calls me to say based on my review that he is refunding my downpayment and canceling the deal. When I asked if this is how they treat unhappy customers, he just kept repeating himself that he's canceling the deal. There was no conversation at all. THEY STILL HAVE MY MONEY! This is illegal.This is extremely bad business and very unprofessional! There are multiple bad reviews and I should have listened to them, but against my better judgement, I proceeded. Please investigate this business and its shady practices. I bet there is something wrong with the car, because they listed it BELOW carfax suggested price. Why??????Downtown Auto Center Response

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! They are out to upsell and scam you every way they can that's still withing legal bounds. Bought a used vehicle that was missing a key; I was verbally told by their finance manager that I could buy Toyota Financials' Key Replacement warranty and use it to replace the missing key, but it turns out the policy will only cover the cost of replacing keys that were sold with the car. This was a very expensive reminder never to trust anything said and always read all the fine print. The icing on the cake is that the sales person who sold me the car texted me directly to personally ask me write the dealership a 5 star review on Yelp.Downtown Auto Center Response

I had a problem last year with my service agreement because my service rep ***** my vin number wrong. I thought I had everything fixed and then I brought my car into a different service center and they let me know that my services that I had previously done were not on my account. I have been trying to get in contact with the service manager for a month now to fix the problem and have yet to get a call back. Do not go here, they are not responsive if there is ever a problem with your account that they caused.Review from Ramiro H

Went in because they had the specific car I was looking for a 2022 Corolla apex stick shift. Everyone I talked to was friendly and they even gave me a good deal 2k below msrp, they had like a discount going on. They got me in and out of there quick, hooked me up with 2 years of free service and the cars been great no problems at all. I would definitely recommend this place if they have the car you want, and if they dont Im sure they can get it for you.Review from Kenneth D

I had never purchased a vehicle on line, but I wanted a tundra trd pro. I found one at downtown auto center, I dealt with ***************************. He was the best salesperson I have dealt with in person or on line. ******* walked me through the process. He had patience and was very knowledgeable not to mention very honest. He set up the transportation for my vehicle as well. It was a very pleasant experience! The vehicle was everything that I wanted and I thank ******* for the great experience!! Bad **************** from the financial department. Every time I call hes always talking about how many other customers hes been dealing with. Thats not my problem Im the one who was dumb enough to purchase a car from this company and I get treated with such disrespect. They tell you one and it never ends out to be what they expressed in the beginning. I am very dissatisfied with their service and the lack of professionalism and integrity.I give a one star because the car is nice but not what I wanted.
