      Through a scholarship I was able to take a CNA certified nurse assistant course at a small amount to myself. On 6/26/23 I was told my overall theory (online class) grade is 57% not passing the 75% threshold due to some "late" work turned in with no due date posted or reminders. I and other students have turned in late work before and gotten full credit for it with no problem at all. I was told by Ms.***** my final score is 57% not passing. Only because my late exams I turned in was not accounted for. 3 module exams and 6 comprehensive exams and my final exam was scored at zero because they were turned in late all completed at 2:30pm before the end of class on 6/26/23. 2 module exams were incomplete and do deserve a zero since I didnt complete them but I did complete the other module exam and all comprehensive exams and the final exam each above 75/100 scores, which if accounted for should bring my total theory *********** the passing 75%. I was never told the makeup day for school work or retakes or homework by anyone as stated there would be one. When I asked Ms.***** why it wasnt passing she said it was because I received zeros for the exams I turned in late. On 6/27/23 in the morning at our clinical sight I spoke to ******************* said there is nothing they can do all of my hard work and hours was useless and there is no point of coming into clinicals anymore. I have never been late, I have never left early, I have never complained, I have never missed a day. I have spent a lot of money with the paperwork and gas going to clinicals. Quest has been by far the most stressful event that has happened while Im pregnant. I have never let my pregnancy be an excuse, or complain. This is incredibly unacceptable for quest to do to your students I dont know what else to do I am at a loss and confused why I am being treated so bad when I just wanted to help people and have a better future for my family and I. I have loads of screenshots and students to back me up.

      Hello ****************, we are sorry that you are upset about the outcome of your course but unfortunately, we have to follow guidelines in place, you received a calendar on day 1 stating what homework and assignments are due and what dates they were due. You also received a daily agenda on every theory days stating homework assignments that were due that specific day. You also received courtesy verbal reminders of the need to complete your assigned quizzes. On the final theory day, course grades were tallied and you received a zero on the quizzes you did not complete for not completing those quizzes some that were even over 3 weeks past due. We understand you attempted to complete them after you already received zero for not doing them. However, you had plenty of time prior to the final exam day to complete your assignments. We have spoken to other students and the general consensus is that they were clearly notified of homework requirements on orientation, every theory day, and throughout the course. You had a verbal conversation with the program director and another faculty member where you indicated that you knew the assignments were to be done but you decided to do them when you could them rather than when they were due. Unfortunately, homework are to be done as assigned and if more time was needed, you could have asked for an extension; this is basic protocol at any institution.  You have to pass both the theory and clinical portion of the class to complete the course. You failed to meet the course theory grade so that resulted in a fail grade for the overall course which is why you were advised to no longer attend clinical because you failed the course.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I was given no due date cut offs. No reminders to finish uncompleted work. Other students also turned in other uncompleted work same day as the final and they got credit but not me. On the calendar you can see exam assignments were OPEN from that day forward but never a due date for closures. If they were due by a certain date they should have been clearly stated just like the module videos are that say open/closed. Therefore if there is no due date on the calendar it still needs to be counted and not receive a zero. I turned in all my work before the end of class on the final day that is all that matters.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

      Hello, you were notified on orientation that quizzes are due on the day assigned. You also had a daily agenda every theory day that listed what assignments to complete for the day and what homework was due that day. You were not failed because you missed a few quizzes, you failed because the amount of quizzes you missed severely dropped your grade. The instructor can remediate a student on a test as part of their final grade evaluation which may include a test retake; however, the instructor will not allow you to complete missing over 10 quizzes as a final grade remediation.

      The final grade for the theory portion of the ** program is *****% which is below the required 75% to pass. The low grade is mainly due to missed comprehensive exams which significantly impacted your grade. The missed exams include the following;
      Module exams: 7,10, 15, 17
      Comprehensive Exams 1-6   ( 1,2,3,4,5,6)

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I have turned in late work before. Not only myself but most of the students also did and their score was never manually adjusted to receive a zero. Never having a teacher to actually teach you this course will do that to a student. I can very comfortably speak for other students as I say this and that all of us feel negatively towards Quest Nursing as others said to each other or on group chat and on our separate zoom calls with other students. If you are telling me every student who turned in late work wouldnt pass the course Id doubt you would have any graduates. I turned in the missing exams late, not incomplete.

      Sincerely,
