      Rats have been an issue since I moved in after being forced to move to this unit because old unit flooded. I was forced to file insurance claim for damages & had to pay for movers. Clothes washer broken replaced with a broken washer. When taking old broken washer out water was spilled my flooring & tv hutch are damaged. Nothing is fixed. No pest control ever comes even though they say, referred to pest control.

      I moved in May 2nd, 2023. Maintenance requests would take days/weeks, I would receive an email with a few sentences/summary of the work done, that was a lie because no one had come to even assess the problem. A new request would need to be submitted. This happened multiple times. August 2023. I found mold in multiple areas of the the unit. At first glance it appeared like ********* had began to contaminate my personal items. It wasnt until I called and went to the office multiple times, emailed and turned in a printed copy of the email, & called the City of Oceansides Code Enforcement that they sent someone out to do an inspection. The moisture detector kept beeping & indicating moisture in all areas of the unit, even around areas that were not near or adjacent to a water source. We hadnt had any leaks, I hadnt been made aware that any of the neighbors had any leaks. The mold was in the closets, bathroom floor, walls, even the appliances had signs of some type of growth. They knew about this issue for months with the prior tenant & still leased the unit out to me without appropriate remediation. November 2023. To this day I am still trying to receive refunds/payment for my deposit, prepaid rent, and the damages to my personal items. It has been months since we had to leave the unit due to the mold. I have been forced to discard personal items, items of sentimental value & large items such as mattresses, dining *************** couches, etc. as they could not guarantee adequate cleaning/sanitation. It felt like I was throwing my life away. Other items were discarded without my knowledge. The full amount for my deposit and prepaid rent is MY Money that they continue to withhold from me. The rest of the amount is a consequence of their negligence. They agreed to terminate the lease as of 8/28/23 without penalty & to pay a remaining balance of $7933.92 to cover the remaining of *********** and prepaid rent for September and concessions for my lost items.

      Date **** 1st:This complex blatantly lied about the price of the rent on the lease and verbally claiming it was $2841. They are now claiming that rent is pro-rated indefinitely, using the $2841 as the base.Additionally they lied about the leasing offer and on the lease itself. Stating we were assigned a certain garage, then claiming a month later they made a mistake and actually our assigned garage would be much farther away from our unit. We would not have entered the lease if we had known this. They purposely mislead my roommate and myself.Lastly I have heard from a lot of other tenants that they have lied to them about a variety of things and refuse to remedy situations. Instead they insist on never answering phone calls to the office, have their office closed, or give you a run around aimlessly in person. They also never respond to emails.
