On August 20th, 2023 I paid *************************** of Surf Crime $700 on Venmo to buy a used surf board. ***** then proceeded to lie repeatedly about when he was shipping out the board. He eventually stopped responding to my emails, so I texted him using the number on his email signature. We began texting in mid October, and ***** lied upwards of 5 more times about when the board was being shipped out. After MULTIPLE attempts to get him to give me more information on when the board would be shipped, he finally (in December) told me the issue had been with the logistics company all along? The board did not end up getting shipped out until late December of 2023. I was never given any tracking information. After two weeks of waiting to get the board, I followed up asking for tracking information and was given none. ***** told me the board had been delivered to my area (**************), but the shipping company had lost the board in its system. I knew I was moving out of state at the end of February, so I asked repeatedly if I could get the issue resolved before then. I was always the one to reach out first trying to get information. It seemed as if my issue didn't matter to him at all, and he was doing nothing to find the board. I probably texted him 60 times, and he never once texted me first with an update. I moved out of state, and THEN of course the board was allegedly located. Since I no longer live in the area, however, I cannot go pick it up. I have asked several times for a refund, and have been treated like a bother. At this point, it's not so much about the money, but I do think Surf Crime deserves to face some consequences for absolutely obsurd mismanagement and HORRIBLE customer service.
