I contracted with CA Auto Express, Inc. to transport my car from California to New Jersey on 6/13/2022 for $1,700.00. The broker was Elite Auto Shipping (paid $200) and CA Auto Express, Inc. has an order no. of ************ The truck driver of CA Auto Express, Inc. who picked up the car inspected the car before transport and no issues with the passenger side mirror was noted in the Bill of Lading. When the car was delivered to me the passenger side mirror was missing. I notified the driver at the time of delivery but he did not care. Pursuant to the Bill of Lading I could not hold back any money and paid the driver $1,500. Thereafter I made a complaint to CA Auto Express, Inc. I spoke to the company representative *** **** (###-###-####) and was told the Company would not reimburse me for the cost of the mirror. Essentially, I was advised that it was my fault as the Company representative (*** Byun) said the glass was loose at the time they picked up the car. I said it was never noted in the Bill of Lading and question if the mirror was loose and they knew it why didn't they secure it? In any event I replaced the mirror at my local VW dealer and was looking for CA Auto Express, Inc. to reimburse me for replacing the passenger side mirror and they denied my request for reimbursement. Although I can not locate the VW invoice at the time of this writing the approximate cost to replace the side passenger mirror was about $170. I can upload the invoice in the near future along with any other documentation BBB may require.Customer response

In any event, attached please find the documents I think you were looking for, specifically 1) the agreement I had with Elite Auto Shipping - a truck broker - securing transport of my car; 2) the Uniform Straight Bill of Lading I received from CA Auto Express, Inc. when they picked up my car for transport; and 3) a copy of the certified check for $1,500 that I gave to CA Auto Express, Inc. on my car’s delivery.
