In May of 2023 I purchased a new rebuilt 22r engine from Kar King Auto - Immediately I had to do a small repair on the front of the crankshaft, also causing me to have to replace the front crank seal. I contacted ************ to make ****** (the owner) aware if what happened. He disagreed that it was at fault of the shop. No big, it was a simple repair and the engine looked good otherwise.After initial break in, I rechecked torque on all the critical bolts of the engine including the head bolts. When doing this I found improperly torqued head bolts - Individually I pulled them out to discover that at least two of them were bent. Again, I contacted ****** and this time he tried to correct the issue and sent me new bolts. I replaced them all and all has been well up to about 3 weeks ago.Engine started to run rough so began diagnosis. About a week after, the engine blew. I pulled it apart to find the headgasket blown, the head melted and blown, and the block is even damaged. This engine is just at 1 year old and there are less than ***** miles that it has been driven. It is used in my daily driver, it has never been abused and it has never overheated. I emailed ****** at Kar King. He did not contact me back.Today I called ****** at Kar King to try to follow up - He immediately pointed blame at me telling me I overheated the engine, did not want to listen to what I had to say about the situation, and ultimately hung up on me.It is clear to me this is a business that does not stand by the product that they build.At this point in time I am filled with regret giving him any money to build me an engine and on top of that I returned to him my original ****** engine as a core. I wish I never did.Stay away from this business.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, 6 month warranty is correct. On the flip side, I spent my hard earned money on an engine to be built just to have it completely tank in ***** miles.
The 22R has a popular nickname, The Million Mile Engine. Obviously, this one didn't get anywhere close to that.
On my vehicle I have 1 analog temperature gauge, 1 digital temperature gauge, 1 digital oil pressure gauge, and 1 wideband air/fuel ratio gauge. This has never been ran hot as ****** stated, it has never lost oil pressure, and never got too lean or too rich.
Looking at the photos its evident the engine did not get too hot because you don't see that type of discoloration on the head, you don't see it on the valves or the pistons either. This engine was washed out with coolant likely due to a cracked head being installed. This caused warpage in the head from the bent head bolts, causing seepage of coolant into the cylinders, and forcing that coolant through the path of least resistance - the crack. Ultimately causing that crack to form out like water forming a river.
This has been confirmed by 1 ****** certified technician, 3 other ASE certified technicians, then lastly myself - not yet certified but a technician no less.
I wish that I could say I used and abused this engine, because at least there would be more rhyme and reason as to why this happened.

We brought a motor for our car brand new. They shipped it. It's was a ************ and did not work. They refuse to cover the shipping back for the motor. Even though it was their fault and broken before we got it.. Is shipping prices are seven hundred the two thousand dollars. They said once we give them motorback, they will examine it and determine if they will send a replacement and they will cover the Shipping of the new one, but they will not cover the old one.Business response
