My contract clearly states Liberty would refund my money if thats what I want. I called. Spoke to one guy who became irate stating I cant get it back all at once. He cant refund the years prior that I paid. Just this year. Liberty has done nothing. They havent made payments to my Federal Student Loan. I paid $80/ month for years. I was contacted by Liberty loan forgiveness and they stated they would get my loan paid off in full. They had not contacted ********** of ********* and the ********** of ********* informed me that only the ********** of ********* would call and request information and discuss loan status. I then tried for months to get a "contract" sent to me so I could read on it. After multiple attempts I finally recieved a copy (which I did not sign). I have been on *** for just over 2 years due to LONG COVID complications. I called and tried to get payments stopped and a refund. They inform me that they are charging me because they sent paperwork to process for the ********** of ********* to forgive the loan. I've spoke to ********** of ********* and told them and they stated that this company never contacted them and more than likely will not and that it is more than likely a scam. This company then told me they did the paperwork to have me in good standing and $0 monthly payment with ********** of *********. I was already in good standing and $0 payments prior to this "company" contacting me and have been for years. I've tried many times by email and calling them (on a recorded line) to attempt a refund and no luck. I am requesting to have a refund from this company and I do believe they are scamming people also.I also plan to send a written request also. Thank you.Initial Complaint

In may of 2022 they presented me with a student loan repayment option of 70 ffor 10 months and then 20/month after that until forgiven. I just talked to Nelnet and student aid gov and they have no payments towards my account. I attached my payments, liberty student loan correspondance letter. As well as the phone numbers I have in my phone to contact them. However, after talki ng to Nelnet, its a sham. I have to call all my banks and report fraud. because this goes back longer than 2 months Im out almost *****. If there is a lawsuit against liberty student loan, I want in. You can see that in my summary for my loans nothing has been paid. The $162 amount is from 10+ years ago to qualify for great lakes IDR plan.Business Response

****** loan forgiveness contacted me by phone about my student loan. Said I qualified for full forgiveness on my loan. So I paid them 80 a month for five months. They never did anything for me. My loan company is contacting me now and want me to pay my loan that was forgivin I thought . Thats what I got for thinking I guess because nothing has been taken off my loan. They never call back and I want them to do what they said they would do or give me my money back.Business Response

Company called stating that they were offering a forgiveness option but needed to sign up for 80$ monthly plan for an amount of months and provided their phone number of contact ************, also ************. They seemed fraudulent but they provided the exact address where this company is located!!!! They promised a forgiveness plan on current loans!! In regards to the cosumer *************************, and the complaint that filed with the BBB. *************** is not an client with Liberty Student Loan Forgiveness. And her complaint/review seem to be bias again a service she never rendered. We have a diverse work environment, and to say such remarks about someone having a accent and assuming it was a fraudulent company, based off somones accents. Is mind blowing. If *************** had concerns questions she was free to reach back and request to speak to a manager/supervisor, But instead wrote a review on a service she again never received. And BBB allowing such reviews/complaints to be allowed and posted it without a proper investigation is wrong. And allowing false reviews on a company. I contacted liberty student regard to loan forgiveness. Provided bank information before looking up and checking with FAFSA. Called him right back to cancel it stated to them they were not to take any money out requested contact from supervisor by phone and email never received anything. I have called four times since then requesting refund of $80, also email confirmation and phone call from the supervisor. Nothing happens to this date I have not received the $80 and filed a complaint with my bank in regards to the illegal withdrawal.Business Response

I was contacted by this company to provide loan forgiveness when they showed no proof of doing anything for what I was paying for I backed out of the whole deal and demanded my money back. I was told I would receive all my money back by check and that was two weeks ago. So now I'm out the money and I got nothing to show for it not an email or anything. 4 months has gone by haven't received any check from them also I have only had 5 returned payments via my bank statements the company has committed fraud and being lied to.
