7/31/23 customer paid for Repair Order #565 with check #152 for full amount of $883.95 and set a future appointment on 9/1/2023 to address the impeller and water pump due to needing more time to have money for those repairs.
Check #152 for 883.95 was returned unpaid by his bank. I received a replacement check #161 for $420.00.
This partial payment has notation "for Carb & Labor only".
The balance $463.30 is now past due.

I am rejecting this response because:I was shopping around for pricing on a repair for my boat I spoke to owner Scott and he was only authorized Honda dealer around . We discussed getting my motor fixed and we concluded that he could get job done (make my boat run and whatever cost and however long it takes , just wanted it done right) . After maybe a a month or so he called and said boat was ready to come and pick up ,when I got there he wasn’t and had his employee Hunter hand me the keys . I asked if they could run it for me and he said he had to go but everything was nice and he trusted the work done ,so I left with the boat . Once home I hooked boat up to water and it started but wouldn’t shift into gear, brand new shifter , so trying to shift it into gear it broke . Notified Scott that it wouldn’t go into gear , he said it did at his shop . So I bought a new shifter and took it to Scott and he confronted me with why you buying cheap shit when you Should’ve bought a motor from me instead ! So he was asking me what did I do to the engine and so on . I replaced the shifter and decided to take boat out . Once in the water with in 2 minutes alarm came on boat wouldn’t go past 13 mph and kept dying Took it back to Scott and he leave it here at 139.00 an hour cause it ran when it left his shop.So I took my boat home after numerous texts with Scott on what was done and what wasn’t done on boat where he stayed in Text whatever is on the receipt is what was done and that if he has to he can go back and amend the receipt to add things that weren’t on there from before . I thought this was very suspicious and not business like and very unprofessional, especially on the water! He also says he charges industry standard rates which I looked at my receipt and think I was grossly taken advantage of

We appreciate the response from the customer regarding his complaint. A this point I can only restate what I have repeatedly offered; the customer can bring his boat in for our review and I will correct anything that we may have missed at no charge. If there is something wrong with the boat or engine that we were not asked to do as part of the original work order this will be charged at normal shop rates. I believe this to be extremely fair as we stand behind all of our work.
If this offer is unsatisfactory, I will provide a detailed history of the services we provided, the sequence of events and the prices charged as it is not clear what other resolution the customer is requesting.
We pride ourselves on quality work at reasonable prices and complete transparency. It is our goal to serve the boating community with excellent service which I believe we provided to the customer.
Thank you

I am rejecting this response because:
I feel I was overcharged , I have inserted original receipt of work done and boat does not and hasn’t ran without alarms going off or just dying and alarms going off and boat dying when he said it ran fine . He also said in text that he can add work done that wasn’t on receipt and I feel this is fraudulent when he said he can amend the original receipt! I no longer feel that any work done by this shop will be in my families or my own safety since he was very agitated and confrontational when I went there twice and got in my face and started yelling at me about not buying a brand new motor from him and instead buying junk . I assumed that work done would be guaranteed or warranted to at least run which is reasonable since he is a dealer but …Regards,
